Sony Ericsson Z1010 will soon be shipped to Middle East markets where the 3G services are available. The web site www.3g.co.uk reports that the Z1010 are in the final stages of testing with a number of telecom operators who have commissioned 3G in their markets. Jan Wareby, corporate executive vice-president and head of sales and marketing says "Sony Ericsson is very clear in that it does not want to make products that are not as good as the GSM phones already available in the market." New mobile phones like the Z1010 with two cameras, large displays etc. consume more energy than previous models. Sony Ericsson mobile phones have always had very good battery performance compared to models from competitive manufactures, and the promised (up to) 3 hours talk time and 450 hours standby does not change this fact.
