Sony Ericsson expected to announce a couple of new phone models on Tuesday
28 February 2006 by Olav Hellesø-Knutsen We have still yet to see the Sony Ericsson D400 UMTS model as well as the K510 and C300. Will these be announced today? It is been a tradition to do the announcement of new phone models that will be on display during CeBIT a couple of days before the opening of the exhibition. Sony Ericsson D400 is expected to be a UMTS model with a large 240x320 display. It is lacking W in it’s name and will most likely not be promoted as a Walkman model. It is speculations to guess what the new D in the name stands for, but it could be a new Cybershot series we saw earlier. We don’t think the D400 will be anything revolutionary, just a minor name changed for a W900 model and it might be promoted differently.
K510 is a small budget phone with a 1.3 Megapixel camera. It is smaller than the T610 but will have the same display size. It is expected to have a MP3 player, but no radio. These are all speculations and we will come back with more information later today Update. The new models are now announced: |
