Sony Ericsson and Jamiroquai join the Mile High Club
18 January 2007 by axxxr In-flight entertainment has just taken on a whole new meaning as Sony Ericsson prepares to stage a live Jamiroquai gig 35,000 feet above the ground.
An exclusive, 200-strong audience will board a specially modified Boeing 757 in Munich, Germany, on 27 February '07. The celeb-studded passengers will then be whisked off into the heavens and serenaded with top tunes from Jamiroquai such as Virtual Insanity, Cosmic Girl and their latest release Runaway. The pimped plane will later land at a secret location in Europe for an A-List after show party in the the airport terminal. Says Jay Kay: “No one has ever done a gig like this before! Rock and roll is all about pushing back the boundaries and 'Gig in the Sky' certainly does that. With this event, Sony Ericsson is taking the music experience to a whole new level." Quite literally, eh, Jay Kay? Put in place to celebrate the launch of Sony Ericsson's newest range of Walkman handsets, including the W710i, W850i and W950i, 'Gig in the Sky' isn't just an uber-funky concept. It may also go down in the record books as the world's highest ever concert! Sadly, this is one ticket that won't be available from the cheap flight flock. But you can get in line to bag a seat by clicking here. The rest of us will just have to be content with downloading 'Gig in the Sky' onto one of the new Walkman's later in the year. source:gadgetcandy Comments On 19 Jan 16:48 gpo wrote limited to only people from europe & middle east? :( On 19 Jan 06:58 drthug wrote good for those 200 people...what about all those who bought se phones and funded this pimped up plane party?? |
