Reuters Signs Deal With Sony Ericsson
19 December 2006 by axxxr Action Images, the specialist sports arm of Reuters, has signed a contract with the
Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, the governing body of women's professional tennis, to be
its primary photographic provider, covering Sony Ericsson WTA Tour tournaments. The contract starts on January 1, 2007 and will run for two years. Benefits will also be available to tournament organisers, key sponsors and other partners worldwide. Larry Scott, Chairman and CEO, Sony Ericsson WTA Tour said: "We're thrilled to be working with Action Images, which is one of the foremost sports photographic agencies in the world. Action's global expertise in sports photography, in addition to its role as part of the Reuters family, will allow us to take the promotion of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour to the next level." The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour will also benefit from access to Reuters extensive worldwide tennis coverage – both photographic and editorial.
