My god PK!!! you were right man!!
At first i wasn't sure of this, the 'X' buttons didn't do it for me, but going to the X1 website has totally changed my mind.... it's beautiful!!!

I have to admit it is a BEAUTY.....and by the way....SE MANAGED TO KEEP IT VERY CONFIDENTIAL...MY REGARDS!
Posted by jack00
main problem of this device, is the lack of large internal flash memory
Posted by nk126
microSD = good ... so much cheaper and easier to find than M2 sticks
PK or anyone else, do you know what ports are on the X1? Charger/accessory port we're used to from SE or something new? Dedicated (3.5mm) audio jack or standard all-in-one port on the bottom?
Anyone see any info about what processor X1 is running?

The P series still exists.
So not to give up hope.

Go Sony Ericsson! They need to stop this Photo light though and use Xenon exclusively at least in high end phones such as this.

That is indeed the most beautiful gadget that has been revealed to an ever growing hysterical Sony/// Fan base. It has been awfully tiresome to wait for this announcement, now it is going to be a nightmare waiting for the day, one can actually buy this beauty!
Well done! The best Sony /// release ever!

since the target group is probably mostly business people they haven't taking to much concern in placing a better camera in the phone... a bit surprising it have a camera at all.
think I'm going to try convincing my boss that I do need a new phone at work,

so this looks really nice, but the 2nd half of '08 release date is worrisome. by then wiMax should be a reality in major US markets, iPhone 2 will be announced and have a ship date (if not already shipping), and Nokia will have s60 touch devices announced if not already shipping. also gives HTC plenty of time to unleash their next-gen WindowsMobile devices, not to mention whatever comes of Android.
if x1 was available Q1 of '08 it would be a coup for SE. as it is now, by the time it reaches the stores there will be a flood of next-gen devices for people to pick from. great news for SE fans, no doubt, but i fear sony is repeating their practice of taking too long to ship new devices, and thus falling behind the market. i hope i'm wrong - they really make good kit.
and i agree - why no Xenon flash? doesn't matter if it's a "business" phone and not a "photo" phone - if you're going to bother with a 3mp camera and photo light, why not put xenon in there instead? so dumb.

PK will the UK be one of those 'selected markets' for this beauty?
Will it have the Opera web browser 9 preinstalled?
How is the 'optical joystick', can it be used for gaming?
How much should it cost!?
Stylus (I think I see it

Its too beautiful! This is exactly what we were hoping for from SE!!!!

it's a different class of device. iphone is a mainstream, "look at how fun and shiny and easy to use it is" device that trades specs and buttons for simplicity and style. x1 - on paper - is a high end businessphone that looks geared towards geeks and power users, and not mainstream style mavens. apple would never make a phone with this many buttons. not saying that's a good (or bad) thing - just that they wouldn't do it.
@jack00:
you have to add 16GB of memory now, actually - apple just upped iPhone's storage.
and also, you have to actually ship the thing. i'll bet $ that by the time x1 ships, iPhone 2.0 is also shipping (or within 2 weeks of shipping)
