Sony Ericsson has sent a mail round to journalists globally inviting them on Thursday 14th of June to celebrate the latest developments in "Sony Ericsson Music and Imaging", something it ominously describes as "the next big thing".

Is it new handsets? Of course it's new handsets! The invite goes on to boast "Be the first to experience the latest phones, accessories and unique applications" while we'll also get some tunes from Sony Ericsson's M-buzz artists.

Obvious handset announcements may include a successor to the W950 potentially equipped with 8GB of storage, the K850i a five megapixel Cybershot and the long rumoured 'Shinobu' Walkman handset which features tilt based music controls. On the other hand a touchy-feely screened mobile could be planned or even a global launch for the W52Ssource:trustedreviews

It's a Bluetooth music watch. MBW-150 Classic and Executive. Control your music playback from the watch. Vibrate alert and caller display etc on an OLED display. Nice. But I bet it's not cheap :)

thank God SE is taking a bold step ahead to be an innovator rather just be a follower. SE is my favorite handphone manufacturer.

finally. thought I would have to endure until July for this. Seems countdowns are the fad for big companies these days. Reminds me of Starcraft 2's announcement. =P Sure hope the new 5mp fone does not look like the ones in the spy pics of sofia.

i love to wait SE phones... especially when it's greatly announced before hand.

i got to agree with SeF.
even for me, Wifi A,G,N is not necessary.
B would be okay. HSDPA and GPS is also narrow available in my country.

so for people living in a place which is not as modern as UK or US.
it would be a waste to buy those features..

i am not looking for a WiFi G, HSDPA or GPS but i'm looking on how SE will make unique innovations. something nokia don't have, then that's better than competing with the standards.

Goodluck SE!

I am a great SE fan and I have been waiting for the new K-Cellphone since September 2006. No doubt the Nokia N95 is currently the best cellphone, however the main Issue: The camera (not the Video) dissapointed me a lot. I think only SE can offer their fans a better 5MP camera. Let us hope we will see something very special this Thursday.

Sony Ericsson Music and Imaging = SEMI so lets hope this announcement is 'transparent' and not too 'detached' or we could end up going round in 'circles'!
