Sony Ericsson Strikes a Deal with Emap
29 May 2007 by axxxr Sony Ericsson has struck a deal with Emap2 to promote its Walkman handset series across its radio, print, TV and online offerings over a one year period.
The purpose of the campaigns, titled “My Music Mate”, “Greatest Unheard Artists” and “Kiss My Mix”, are to direct users to microsites where they can read more about the campaigns, download information and enter competitions to win Sony Ericsson handsets, as well as other prizes. The “My Music Mate” will provide consumers with a music guide that includes advice on downloads, upcoming performances and competitions. Features will be run in FHM, Heat, Grazia and More between June 2007 and May 2008. In addition Emap’s network of local radio stations The Big City Network will be promoting the handset providers “Up Close” series of gigs being staged over summer. The Kiss My Mix” campaign will see Sony Ericsson sponsoring the Kiss radio station’s new “What’s Next?” programme from June. While the “Greatest Unheard Artists” theme hails unknown talented artists through advertorials in Q and Mojo magazines and on its radio station, as well as mini-programmes about the less than famous musicians airing on Q TV and The Hits TV. source:mad.co.uk ![]()
