The idea is that you enter your personal profile and Sony Ericsson will match it with others who have entered from around the world. In your personal profile you can upload your own personal Avatar of your choice or choose one from the selection,and other soulmates will be able to click on it and see where you are and which Sony Ericsson handset you use,works the same way to check others profiles aswell.
