File this under "rumor" but It seems like Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, has made some grumblings about HTC being a good fit in a merger between it and Sony Ericsson.

Peter Chou,CEO of HTC, said in an interview that he thinks a merger between HTC and Sony Ericsson would be a good fit.

HTC is a maker of Windows Mobile smartphones that wants to merge with Sony Ericsson now that ones a very hard one to swallow.

The two companies or the two engineering cultures would fit together is another story. Plus, there's Sony Eicsson's love of Symbian, which doesn't quite fit in with HTC's Windows Mobile lust. source:Peter Chou Interview  gizmodo

Now seriously, how could this merger make SE the best, I love S phones but I know that Symbian phones bet come served in Nokia, maybe this creates an opportunity for SE to explore the Windows market.

might work..had a few htc ppc's in my time but their design never appealled to me,but the hardware and software did,if ppc's had sony ericsson design...they could be on a winner,i can imagine you will be able to buy the smartphone running symbian or wm5/6.
e.g m700s or m700w..what palm did with the treos!

wierd thing and impossible, though if SE agrees, then they will rule smartphone and mobile phone realm!

SE is being owned also by sony apart from Ericsson, and it seems that Symbian is being aquired by SE, if if the merging happens, then HTC SE will just have both smartphones and mobile phones running windows mobile and Symbian 9.

any comments?
