The way I have it now, each phone fits in one row =P
I want to try to keep it clean as a list, easy to get info about each phone.

I was hoping wilma and betty would be revealed in Feb.

I don't count w810 as that for me its more of w800 adapted for america.
I don't care about edge I want UMTS!

@S4k1s. Should the P990 also be included too as your are going by the announcement dates aren't you? and not the release dates?

shows officially a handset and not the in stores date. Therefore the P990 is 2005 and not 2006. Or am I wrong? =P

Not very exciting so far in my opinion, hopefully we'll see something a bit better in the next couple of months. The J100 looks OK for a cheap entry level phone, K610 looks the nicest but it's not exactly groudbreaking. I don't like the keypad of the M600, I just don't see the need for a qwerty pad, especially on a touchscreen phone and the lack of a camera detracts.
W950i looks a bit better so just missing the camera.
I'm sure these omissions/issues will be sorted with the upcoming releases though and I appreciate this is only my opinion.

hopefully stats: 3.2 megapixel camera(with optical zoom and flash AND lens cover), 1gig internal memory, EDGE, 2.2 inch screen, 16mm wide, customizable UI. Then I'lll be super happy!
Icing on the cake would be a true color 16 million color screen instead of 262k, but guess thats getting gready hehe

Usually the K and T series before it come out around May or June though.
They're usually announced at Cebit in early March.

Edit: I did my math and 28th is the tuesday the week b4 Cebit and that is the right date compared to the years b4
Last year Cebit started the 10th, and
did the announcements the 1st == 9 days and also the tuesday the week b4.
This year cebit starts the 9th, so the 28th seems quite right == 9 days and also the tuesday the week b4.

SE have had a 'preBIT' event for the last 3 or 4 years now. I expect they always will, as they know that a lot of people (especially press) don't actually go to CeBIT as it's always hard to see products on the overcrowded stands.

Here's a little table of the current 2006 lineup (plus a few more) showing what I think the prices will be from cheapest to most expensive. Looks pretty ok to me.

I left the K790 out for mainly aesthetic purposes, just so that things could fit, but many markets also will only have the K800 anyway. If it was there though, I'd say that it would be between the W810 and W850. And the V630 would be between the W700 and the Z710. I might start a new thread and update it...

@peacemf dont count on it. the w850's just been announced; and it looks like the w900 is
's last all-rounder after saying they intend to segment market into one major feature per phone. which translates to no AF for walkmans; and prolly no OTA music downloading service for cybershots. one reason why they copied over the 1.0 walkman app (sans the orange branding) to the new cybershots and upped the version on the new walkmans.
on a side note, i still like my w810 (another last of the dying breed of all-rounders) over the w900 by virtue of size. this little baby has it all-the player, autofocus, walkman+activity menu buttons, etc.

It's a shame the are moving away from the all-rounders. My W800 contract is almost up and Id love a simple upgrade re: camera and walkman features. Can't say any of the new phones look as nice as the W800

I agree with you 100% on this jakester2000.
don't have any real upgrade out for the W800.
Unless you call a phone with a camera @ 2MP without AF but with the walkman player v.2 an upgrade...
I sure don't...

Don't know if you have seen this already but at se-store.com there is a list of phones with stickies showing there current released months.
Don't know how accurate it is but it is an indication.
