We've all seen that SE has done pretty OK by cunningly making use of the familiar Walkman brand to sell music phones.

Now, we can see from some leaked presentations (assuming they're for real, of course) that the rumoured upcoming "Wilma" K800 will be using Cyber-shot camera branding.

Of course minds wander and we could think of a Handycam video-centred phone, a VAIO P-series, and a PlayStation gaming phone...

How far can/will Sony and SE take this? More importantly, anyone foresee any negative implications?

Thoughts on this anyone?

I fancy an AIBO phone. When it rings, it automatically comes and finds you.

Sony already dropped Plasma production.

One wonders whether Sony would let "Walkman" slapped upon SE phones had the brand managed to withstand Hurricane iPod :-)

what about CLIE?
sony stoped making CLIE devices (except for japan), if i remember the article correctly it said that it would be better for SE to make such devices in the far future.
well i think the future has arrived

but i think AIBO products would be the best. they'll be the most inovatiative.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

well, apparantly Sony has stopped production of Aibo too

Clie was palm based and that is a dying operating system by all accounts but it would also be in competition with their symbian operating system and if they diversify in any direction I suspect it would be towards windows mobile rather than palm

clie was good in its day, better that what palm could product IMHO and my wife still uses her S625... but...

edit: btw, don't forget you can get aibo on your SE phone

Imagine the amount of space needed for the branding if they made this phone

Features
-Bravia Touch Screen
-Cybershot 5.0 Megapixel Camera
-Walkman Music Player Embedded
-Memory Stick M2
-Playstation Games
-Clie Organiser
-Vaio Functionality
-Aibo Movability
-Handycam Quality
-Night Shot

how they going to put all that branding on the phone hahaha it will soon look like one of those japanese tuner cars haha
