Alternatively post this in the Esato forum Please sign in to your Esato account to leave a comment regarding this article ![]() The update is available for Romania too, C6-01 got the update today over the air. Unfortunately, at this time the servers are down and I can't manage to get the update for the N8. Still, it's been a long wait...what's a couple more hours ![]() @MFire Thanks. Romania is listed. Please tell us what you think about the upgrade. Well, just got the update for the N8 via Nokia Software Updater. ![]() Well, first impresions are: -The UI is faster, more responsive, the way it should have been from the start. I can't find any lag even after I've installed a few applications; - Great overall speed increase; - The browser still loads slow when it comes to flash content, though the UI is noticeably faster; - I did find battery life on the C6-01 better, didn't have the time to test it on the N8 though; - Some improvements in the picture gallery; I will be posting more detailed impressions as I will test the phones further... I'm quite disappointed with the browser, I was expecting more ![]() Also, there will be another separate update just for the N8, to bring continuous auto-focus in video mode and multiple UI and Camera tweaks. The update is due on monday. I will keep you informed. [ This Message was edited by: MFire on 2011-08-18 20:33 ] What a nice news ![]() My N8 came from UK, I'm going to try to see if there is any update ![]() Can you please tell me if it's better with NSU or via OTA? Thanks @anfetamina It's recommended you install the new software update via NSU. I will reinstall it on C6-01 via NSU asap as it's not available via NSU atm. !!!!NOTE : After you update to ANA it's recommended you check again for updates as there are some parts + social app that you will get afterwards via MENU-APPLICATIONS-SOFTWARE UPDATE . Best of luck for all you "updaters" ![]() I thought Symbian Anna was excellent on the E6 which was also a great device. Except the poor keyboard ![]() MFire Thanks ![]() I made the update via NSU and I check everything you recommend ![]() ![]() I Think that Nokia Sleeping Screen came with this update or I have to install it? Because I can't find it on my phone, can you help me? ![]() Bonovox did you test it the E6? Because I have a friend you told me that E6 have poor quality and E72 and E71 are better, did you confirm? Thanks ![]() Not available for the Netherlands yet ![]() Oh well, both our N8-00 and E7-00 work without any problems, so we can wait...... I updated my N8 on tuesday to anna by flashing with pheonix, all I can say is wow, compared to the old pr1.2 firmware which was as buggy as hell, anna is running very well.
I was considering getting the Arc or Galaxy 2 next month but I may just hold off a little while now and keep the N8 because it does have an excellent camera, It's just a shame that the N8 only has a 3.5" screen though. @anfetamina You have to get it as a separate app from Nokia Beta Labs (google it). You have to register/have an account there. ![]() MFire Okay thanks ![]() Still waiting for the update, here in Dominican Republic.
