Sounds amazing and will probably be the most expensive Xperia of all time

word is this phone may not be sold to the general consumer and may be limited to professional markets only. that would be sad.

With this body, case is not necessary.
Almost a rugged phone.

Is it a one piece moulded casing? Looks pretty tough.

Xperia Pro ... now THIS is a professional smartphone (Apple get it?)!

3.5mm headphone jack may also feature Sonys DAC the QN1 chip since it's hyping their Reality engine for Audio experience.

I love the rugged body shell ... looks pure boss / bad-ass!

With this introduction, Sony is showing the world that they're BACK in a very powerful way to the competition. Carl Zeiss lenses is a great move along with not following a recent trend for telescoping camera (a long Huwaei Pro 30 and Samsung Galaxy 20 Ultra).

Can't wait to see the camera samples.

Posted by moogoo
camera on pro and regular mark 2 should be the exact same, right?

the features on the pro have nothing to do with the camera module or its features as far as i can tell.

Posted by Hawk12
Yes. Differences are more related to conncetivity skills.
Pro is more of router/screen than phone.

It's significantly thicker and about 3-4mm more wider but that metal monoblock is worth it! Sick of glass sandwiches really.

Indeed it is. Since the Xperia 1 mark II supports 'Hi-Res Audio through Sony's own LDAC technology ' as posted on it's own page on this site, why is this Pro not featuring it? was it a missed item not posted or?

I've been using the Xperia 1 ii for a bit now and I really enjoy the phone. Planning on giving it to my wife and getting myself the Xperia Pro. I really don't see much about it other than a flood of information from the announcement a few months ago. Any idea when it will be released?

Recently got an Xperia Pro Japanese version, as they have the bands which I need. Really love the phone with 12GB Ram and 512GB storage. Just received the first update, but still didn't bring Sub-6 5G, and unfortunately, 4G signal is weak compared to Xperia 1ii, plus no support for VOLTE or VOWIFI

I like it but I'm not a heavy user ..
