I just saw that Sony has uploaded Walkman Z's music and video players in Android Market, so I was wondering whether someone can get the apk from there and post them here, so we can install it on our Xperias?

I already found a method that give us the ability download the apk-s directly to our PCs - http://codekiem.com/2012/02/24/apk-downloader/ , but unfortunately I don't seem to get it to work, as this method is using my phone's ID ( Xperia Pro ), which, according to Play Store, is incompatible with the apps. So we need someone with at least Nexus S or the actual Walkman Z.

Yeah, it says they're incompatible with the Xperia PLAY too. I was looking forward to installing these - I hope there is a way of getting them to work.
In the meantime, I've found a nifty little Sony music App that does work.

Yes, but that one is stupid, just like the rest of SonyDNA's portfolio. The original Walkman Z photo viewer is much more advanced.

Understood. However I don't know about Sony pics edit app. Looks good.

I dont see the point of this. It is like if sony consists of 5 different companies doing what they want with 5 different design ideologies.

EDIT: another tool for downloading APKs from Play Store - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539375 . This one makes the job even easier. We just need someone with Nexus S/Galaxy Nexus who can download them for us.

I got hold of the Walkman Z media player, will test it on my XS and report back. If it works fine, will put up a download link in a while.

The Z apps don't install on our Xperia S
Is anybody here an expert who can edit build.prop and sign the apps so they work on our XS phones ?
Anyway here are the apks. If anyone can get these to work, please post a guide on how you managed to do it. Thanks !

Okay guys ! Finally we have Walkman Z apps working for Xperia S. (and maybe all Xperia phones). Thanks to r-ikfoot for the Walkman Mod 1.0 @ XDA
