Hi to everyone,

little problem, how can I make a video call with the new Xperia s? It has a front camera, but when I open a contact in my phone book and I want to call him /her, there is no option for a video call.....???? strange thing, does anybody have an idea how to fix that problem? thanks.

I don't think they have native app for video calling. Try Skype.

Try Google Talk with video chat. It is pre-installed on the Xperia S. Requires the other part to have Google Talk installed on a phone or PC as well

@ bucheral, if you mean the old-school 3G Video calls, so far, none of the new generations of Android or iOS devices support that anymore. Why? Because they all support better versions via an app.

Popular ones on Android are Tango and Skype. Google Talk/Video is catching up but fewer people are on it, even though they have a Google Account.

The BEST one is still FaceTime, unfortunately this is an iOS only app.

I hope Google Video Chat will catch up with FaceTime soon in terms of HD video quality.

How does it work now?

Well, I've tried google+ video chat (aka hangout) and it's pretty cool. both need to be logged in and on a data plan, but it allows video conference - on your mobile, you switch between parties. Laptop users can see all the parties.

FYI, samsung have this feature for 3g video (WITHOUT USING SKYPE WHATSOVER) call eventhough you using NEW ANDROID JELLY BEAN. you may test it.

model such as galaxy S2, S3, Note and even old model such as OMNIA 2, OMNIA HD have this function. They might be a reason sony not enable this function.

Just for for your info. tq
