are these not compatible with other phones!!

Posted by goldenface
Don't know. Just going by what it say on the site but I shouldn't see why not as there is the full range from low - high end phones listed.

whats the diff with these and the ones that come with aino. id say it would be compatible with all other models too. well, ones with a2dp of course...

edit: i think since the aino one isnt available to buy seperately, the mh-100 or what ever its called, have just announced it under a different name and colour scheme so they can market it as a SEPERATE product. it even supports fm streaming so id say its almost identical

It's exactly the same one as the MH100 except it has a OLED screen to allow the control of the inside tuner.
The MH100 tuner is not streamed by the phone, it has it's own tuner inside, it is controlled by the phone.

I thought these MW600's where the same that shipped with the Aino phone. All I know is 2 things!

1. I'm definitely buying these ... IF;
2. Compatible with iPhone 3GS, SE W995, SE X2, and S60 5th Edition phones.

Right now I'm confused as to which phone I'll get down the road - considering my needs may change in roughly 2wks. I LOVE listening and dancing to much and I love headsets with remote capability. This winter, with wearing a heaving sports/leather jackets I want to be able to quickly identify who is calling - EVEN if that number is not in my Contacts list. Wireless read-out and stereo quality are going to be paramount. I've had not so good experience using ANY BT stereo headsets before - even SE models so if it doesn't work out, then my daughter/wife will get it.

Probably is the same under a different name.

Any time frame on its availability? I have searched other forums and sites have not seen one thing about pricing. These are must haves.

Hello Golden face,
Sony Ericsson MW600 headphone is a really cool headset will all the latest feature like OLED display, it has a 3.5mm audio jack connector which is compatible with any cell phones and the most loved feature is it supports radio. This new device is very slim it can be carried any where it can be charged by computer also and it is wireless, so there is no hassle of wires. Its wait is only 13 gms which is very light. I would be really interested in buying this headset.

Compatible phones aren't correct. W200 doesn't even have Bluetooth

Posted by peder-dingo
Can you turn up/down the volume on these?
Can you change the song thats playing? Forward/backwards?

Posted by peder-dingo
No one knows if you can control the music (volume/next track etc)?
Xell, where do you know that from?
Cant find it anywhere...

Posted by alexlt
Yes, they can control volume and tracks

Remote music volume control

Change the volume when listening to music in the Hi-Fi Wireless Headset with FM Radio MW600 from your phone – something you can only do with a Sony Ericsson headset and phone.

I definitely want one of these

Well, it has built in FM radio receiver and hopefully will have better sound quality and battery life than DS205/DS220/DS980

Posted by etaab
Why do you say that was the DS205 not very good ?

Posted by alexlt
I didn't say it wasn't good, just that MW600 could be better Well, actually I read a member claiming DS205 was worst than DS220, so you never know ...

Posted by alexlt
Review, in Russian though ...

These will work with W995 won't they?

Posted by ragefire09
Wow.. Made me curious. In theory, if it is compatible with w200i, would it be compatible with Naite as well?

Posted by dj-striker
would i be able to use these with a 3gs cause the apple ones are not the best like

It's not compatible with W200i, it doesn't even have bluetooth. It was a mistake in page, most probably it will work well with all A2 phones and beyond

Posted by opexblue
I'm wondering if we received call. Does the number/name of the caller will show on the display..???

EDIT

OK,,, I've just read the review... and the answer is : YES

Are these available in Canada?! I cannot find them on the SE store locally for me.

Need a replacement to use with my BB 9700.

Posted by Saxtus
None of the reviews I've seen, say anything about using WM600's built-in menu to revoke phone's address book at OLED screen and choose whom to call (like HBH-DS980 could) without using any voice commands.

Does anybody know?
Pre-thanx!

They are not available yet. MCO has them listed in pre-order for just 50 USD That's a very good price if it's true. ETA: 4-6 weeks. I'd say they will be released at the same time X10.

http://www.mobilecityonline.c[....]ductdetail.asp?productid=25845

@Saxtus: I'm sure it's possible but haven't found any video showing that specific feature. But as in MR video it shows 4 icons in the menu, one is Contacts and other is Calls, it must be just like in DS980

Posted by Saxtus
alexlt I hope you're right!

Btw, the store you're linking say that the Expected Arrival Date is Feb. 18, 2010 right now.
I wonder when it will be released in Europe...
Quickly! Jump in the time machine!

You can only initiate new calls using voice commands. The address book are not viewable on the MW600 display.

Posted by alexlt
Well, that's very sad Laffen Although is not a feature I use everyday, it will be nice to have it on board. So now I wonder what the icons are for, one is for FM radio and other must be settings/connections, but the other two?? Laffen please

I'd still buy them though, I just hope firmware of the headset could be upgraded with the microusb cable

Posted by laffen
Which icon are you thinking of alexlt?
There are several:
- Bluetooth connection
- Radio connection
- Battery status
- Use as FM Radio
- Pair with phone 1
- Pair with phone 2
- Speak (waiting for voice command)

Posted by alexlt
I mean this icons, it's from Mobile Review and it's clearly a prototype. Maybe icons isn't the proper word, when you press menu key it'll open a menu with four icons, that's what i was refering to.

Laffen, you have a retail version?? I mini review would be nice Or just a few comments about sound quality, battery life ...

I have a review unit. It came without boxing and stuff, but the product is final. The three icons on the photo below are from left to right:
FM Radio, Phone1, phone2, phone3. The three phones are previously paired so it is easy to swith back and forth between them. I haven't found any user manual, so everthing is kind of try and guess.

And yes, it is compatible with P1i

Awesome news Laffen!

If voice dailing works with P1i ... what BT is supported on both?
I LOVE this charges via MicroUSB works just perfect with my BlackBerry Bold 9700 charger (hopefully).

@Laffen, last question is there any confirmation on launch date & locations by region? If I cannot find a wholesale retailer then I'll have to order through SonyStyle but it may not be listed on the Canadian site.

Any update on these, please?

Regarding battery life:

Source 1:
The battery life is listed as 8.5 hours to 11 hours, these numbers seemed to be pretty conservative.

Source2:
Battery life is respectable. We charged it fully once, and haven't managed to drain it over a week with medium usage.

Sounds like it may have a decent battery life.

The standby time is apperently 500h and the talk time 11h. The linked articles referes to usage time (the second one even says medium usage). For streaming music I have not found any info yet (the device is such new), but with the given standby and the talk time you can do a qualified guess if you compare with the standby and talktime of your present BT headset.

They look genuine, and are at a very good price IMO. Does anyone has order one of those yet?? I'll wait some feedback before buying ones
