"Sony Ericsson Z555i - shiny"

"Thankfully Sony Ericsson is quite consistent in naming its phones. That’s why most people know, that when we’re talking about the Z series, than we mostly have to do with a prominent, clamshell form factor fashion phone. Even more, the Z usually isn’t alone, as most of the time there is a kind of brother model, which is the same as the fashion phone, except some minor differences – this model in our case is W380i.

Currently available members of the series were no real success. The only exception might be Z610i, with an exceptional design; others were just plain and simple phones. However I think that Z555i is something different. It’s not nicer, it’s not better; it doesn’t even know more than its predecessors, but it’s more prominent and this is what people need nowadays. It’s evident that this is the answer from the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer to Nokia’s Prism series and we have to admit that they’ve done it cleverly, as they came with such a clamshell earlier than their Finnish competitor.

The sample phone, provided by XXL GSM came in an incredibly small box, which although has a cool design, but it’s not as unique as the package of the Prism series. There aren’t many accessories; there’s only a stereo headset and a charger, nothing else."
