Sony Ericsson P1i Vodafone Email

Hi. I have just bought a P1i - Put in my Vodafone simcard and tried using email. I called Sony Ericsson for support and they said that Vodafone does not support the phone and hence does not support email. And that Vodafone haven't set up any support/drivers for the P1i.

So now it appears I cannot access email on this phone. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this or an alternative way of accessing my email (other than through WiFi)
Thanks

Had a similar problem. Solution was to create an additional internet group and account (I called mine "email" )

address : internet
username and password required
username : web
password : web

the default wap settings won't allow pop3 through

use send.vodafone.net as SMTP server

I had the same problem. I contacted VF CS and got them to email the step up instructions for the M600 to me. Followed these and everything was set up fine.

If you have any further problems PM me and I will dig out the email or just get them to email you too.

I found theat some menues in the instruction for the M600 appeared slightly different in the P1i but it was very obvious what you needed to select.

Hope this helps
JD
