It doesnt cum up with that option...
my files > music > ringtones > select track > more............no use as option, if i select ringtone that came with phone i get the use as option. Im using mp3 files, is that ok.

Yeah MP3 files are ok to use as ringtones.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, I know what your doing!!
Your trying to set a ringtone from the MP3 player! Can't do it from there boyo.
Go to Main Menu, Media Album, select the Music folder, highlight the track you want, press More, Use As, select Ringtone.
Hooray for me!!!

Sorted it, i was transferring the tracks from a Sony connect file, these weren't stored as mp3's for some reason. Loaded mp3 file into music > ringtone and it worked...........yippee

You have to simply move to song which you wanted to set as a ringtone.
Now you have to press more and then go for you have to select as use as and then you have to select the Ringtone.
