My current firmware version is R6BA033
Camera : 2.0
Java SW Version : 6.4
The camera quality is very poor compared to w550i and k510i...pls post latest firmware info..if any

I have just noticed that during calls...my z550 allows me to go to any menu item ...and even lets me send sms in the background..is this feature available in k750, w550 or it is only available from w810 and other later models
...very importantly a cool feature

When you have the Activity Menu up, when you go to the New Events tab, does it work alright? On the original firmware, things used to blank out.

About the events menu in the activity menu causing blank outs:
Its theme dependent... And the activity menu itself doesn't blank out... just the stuff around it. So it’s not so bad...

FAR can't be used with a Z550i right? So there is no way to eliminate the java security prompts right?

I just upgraded to R6CA009 via SEUS.
Camera version is still 2.0
Java is now 6.5
Anyone know where I can find a list of changes?
EDIT1: Just noticed the first change... everything is faster... all the menus etc etc... And the fancy menu animation seems to have been speeded up too.
EDIT2: Its been 4 months and Mf flip is fine. Its been 'flipped' 14,434 times so far

Haven't noticed any changes... Camera drivers haven't changed after all. And Yup, the Z550i's cam sucks compared to the K510i etc...
Edit: Through a datacable... The GPRS based update service doesn't work for me...

Yes, you need the datacable unless you have a GPRS connection and yes your firmware is the latest...

I noticed two bugs today...
1) When you're playing music in the background and typing the message the volume keys both affect the volume and scroll through the wordlist simultaniously... kind of irritating.
2) When you're playing music and you get a message and you exit the player by using the 'back' key while the music has paused due to the message tone the player closes and does not resume playing when the message tone has finished...

Soz to bring back this thread but i just compared an LG KG245 and a Sagem My 501c cameras to my Z550i and the Z550i is the worst even tho the LG is VGA. Is there any cam drivers i can use to fix this, or third party cam drivers, or drivers from other phones such as K510

I think you cant use f/w from other phones ..but there has been 1 - 2 new f/w releases for Z550i from the initial ones ...but the camera driver version has remained the same i think

You'd need 1.3 mpxl vertical format drivers...
The k510i's driver ought to work the best... and its good too. A k510i easily outperforms the Z550i's cam.

Umm... google? Or ask around the FAR threads... someone there ought to know. And I doubt a k510's driver will work as the k510's screen is 128*160 and it has different hardware.

That’s where you get the instructions. Just use PhoenXS insted of XS++ Cause XS++ doesn’t work with the z550i (usage is identical.)
And as for the cert and the signing program: Search for 'halmer' on the major SE forums... (SE-nse, Esato etc...) I'll upload them a lil later if I can.
