This is the only new mobile phone model announced by LG Mobile during the Mobile World Congress in 2010. Despite being the official main sponsor of the event, LG didn't even have their own booth. Rumors say it was of economical reasons?! Anyway. They announced the LG Mini GD880 with the help of a 40-50 students. The students walked around the city folloing a "leader" having a t-shirt with the text "With My New LG Mini I go with my friends everywhere". The rest of the group was showing banners saying "Paco, You will never walk alone". All this to higlight the social media features of the LG Mini.
LG claims that the LG Mini is slimmer and more compact than any other 3.2 inch full touchscreen mobile phone.
