T-Mobile dumps Catherine Zeta-Jones

28 September 2006 by axxxr
T-Mobile has made a very strange move by dumping Catherine Zeta-Jones as their official spokesperson.

The company has decided to drop Ms. Zeta-Jones from its advertising in favor of a more man-on-street approach to marketing, people familiar with the matter say. Ms. Zeta-Jones may continue to appear in some ads until her contract expires next year, but eventually she will be phased out. The amount of her contract wasn't available, but it is valued at several million dollars, the people say.source:wsj

Well, it's going to cost less by not having to use her services that's for sure. But as for the "other changes" taking effect, I'm not so sure about that whole marketing strategy.

I never liked her anyway. Good riddance.

I thought she did a good job. That may hurt them.
