LG Optimus Hub E510 announced

The LG Optimus Hub is mid-range model running on the latest version of Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. The Hub-part of the name are describing the sharing capabilities of this phone model. Optimus Hub has WiFi Cast, Smart Share and On-Screen Phone which makes sharing content easier than ever before. Like Samsung, LG is trying to make it easy to share content from one LG hardware to another.

With LG Smart Share, it is easy to stream content from mobile phones to television screens using DLNA.

WiFi Cast is a sharing service based on Wi-Fi Direct where two mobile phones can share content the same way your would do with Bluetooth. The network speed is of course much faster than when using Bluetooth.

On-Screen Phone is the name of a service which let you control the phone content directly from a PC. What's shown on the phone display will also be mirrored on the PC, and you can use the mouse and keyboard to control the phone.

The LG Optimus Hub has a 1500 mAh battery and some energy saving functions which are claimed to deliver up to 30% longer battery time.

Optimus Hub will be available in October and it will be priced in the lower mid-range segment.
