It seems to be a little disappointment among LG smartphone owners as Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will be available to LG devices in April at the earliest

Ice Cream Sandwich available for LG smartphones in April

Sony Ericsson and Samsung has previously communicated when they will be ready to have a working version of the Android 4.0 OS available for existing handsets. That is in Q1 2012. LG is doing the same thing now, but the dates for a LG release is even further in to 2012. LG will have Ice Cream Sandwich available for Optimus LTE, Prada, Optimus 2X Optimus Sol, my Touch Q and LG Eclipse in the second quarter of 2012. From the second half (Q3) of 2012, the following models will be upgradable to ICS: Optimus 3D, Optimus Black Optimus Big, Optimus Q2 and Optimus EX. As usual with these OS upgrades exact rollout date varies by market and network operators.

Being forced to wait until Q2 and Q3 caused quite a stir among LG smartphone owners on the Facebook page where we first heard about the update.
