It's already been mentioned in the C901 discussion thread yesterday :) Also my own mini review can be found in the Reviews section on Esato.

This message was posted from a C901

Very nice review, though i finally realized how good 6700 camera is. Although C901 is a step in the right direction but looking at the slight smearing and noise on its daylight images I can say it's not as clean as 6700's. the colors are also pumped to a level that the "naturality" is compromised.

i have downloaded the sample pics of 6700 and c901 both from gsmarena.
imo the same scene/pics taken by both camphones should not be pitted against each other as a basis for camera performance.
a more scientific and quality controlled testing is more preferrable.

the pics posted by the gsmarena team were taken in varied instances.
some were taken in broad daylight, some late in the afternoon, some where taken in a different angle, different position etc etc.

post processing of c901 imo is better than 6700 classic

see the resolved details in the foliage of the trees at this photo captured by C901:

compared to this, by 6700 classic:

see the leaves of the tree near the 'Marseille" shop.
and also the greeneries in the center island of the two streets

6700 shot seems blurred

Between pics taken with C901 and 6700C, it's very difficult to judge which of the 2 has better picture quality as there is difference in Angle, Distance, Time and also Season... In most of the pics the pic quality seems almost the same, in some C901 seems better (as the one above) and in some 6700C seems better (like the crop below):

C901:

6700C:

Overall from GSM Arena's pics, both seem to have equally good camera hardware but the C901 seems to have more post processing(in terms of NR and sharpness) and less accurate colors(white balance issue) than 6700C... Don't know why but pics in C901's picture thread has almost nil NR???

Bottomline, IMO the difference in picture quality between these two is very minor but the Xenon Flash and Lens Cover on C901 gives it a significant advantage...

@crossmatched:

the reason is simple, the lens on 6700 has some misalignment thus it looked the out of focus. but we compare post processing here, the sharpening and noise is all handled very well on 6700. c901 exhibits color boost as well thus the image looked punchy - but unnatural to a trained photographer's eyes, and C901 has higher noise level theres no doubt that c901 has excellent camera, but i have to admit that post processing wise 6700 is the phone to beat.

is 6700c camera unbeatable? don't forget about Moto Zn5 some other Nokia phones have issue with lense too, 6700c is not the first phone with weird blur in some part of pictures, however details and colors are impressive

ohh and by the way... pictures from C901 sometimes are underexposed what looks bad
