I just got one last May 16 and it is so damn thin. The interface is something new to the eye compared to the previous models.

Pros:
1. Very light & thin.
2. Considerable long battery life if you turn off the keypad light and the backlight time to 15secs.
3. Screen resolution is great, seems like a widescreen.
4. Available internal memory of approx 82MB.

Cons:
1. Making it hard to press the keys with just the thumb. To resolve the one hand operation, you have to hold the upper right corner with your pointer finger and lower left corner with the little finger and thumb to press the keys. The rest of the fingers as support for the left side of the phone.
2. No customizable message tone.
3. Two Skins avaible, Black or White.
4. No expansion slot.

Jim - I think Ambyzown's comments are fair.. Samsung seem to have concentrated on the thinness and ignored the other areas. From the front the phone look very plain.

At that thinnest, it better be strong! Wonder if R&D tried the "Sitting on it in your back pocket" test?

And you better not use it over a drain either ;p

Looks great, just hope it's practical to use.

Apart from the housing, what major differences have all these new samsung phones? Slim is good, but they are all basically the same phone wrapped differently
