Samsung today announced the Galaxy Pro with 2.8 inch touch screen and QWERTY keypad
The Samsung Galaxy Pro will soon be available on the network operator Three in the UK. The Galaxy Pro smartphone has a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen with 240x320 pixel resolution and a full QWERTY keypad below the display, making it ideal for texters. It is powered by a 800 MHz processor and runs on Android 2.2.1 Froyo. The 800 MHz CPU is not bad for a entry- to mid-range model these days.
Samsung Galaxy Pro size is 108.6 x 66.7 x 10.6 mm, 3 megapixel fixed focus camera and a 2 GB microSD card, expandable up to 32 GB. A nice feature is the Wi-Fi hotspot which can be switched on with the touch of a button. Galaxy Pro also comes with Social Hub Premium for free.
The Social Hub is the same as Motorola's MotoBlue and Sony Ericsson's Timescape where all communication are integrated in the same user interface. Such as e-mail, SMS, calendars, Facebook, Twitter etc.
We do not have any release date for the Galaxy Pro, but it most likely be available in second quarter this year.
