Prom1; Yes, I'm a typical SE fan but I'd change to any other brand if their designs tickle my fancy as SE does. I place a lot of emphasis on design as I'm a designer myself. I'm aware that aesthetics is subjective but Nokia designs are at the other end of the pole for me. I'm just surprised this phone isn't regarded as universally ugly lol. But I have to admit the side profile is really smooth.

If the price is right then this is a good phone but think i will be slightly cheaper then E71 which would make more people just pay a little bit more and take the E71
but all in all both phones are good buys

Anon; no need or contact shortcut button when typing from home screen searches the Phone book, very similar to dial-from-home-screen on Blackberry; E71 has this as well.

Mode; typical SE fan that hasn't evolved - your comment. keys are powerful. If you want numerical T9 only ... E52 suits your needs.

Gamma, where have you been; P5i is LONG canceled and since UIQ is no more don't loose sleep waiting for it to debut = which is never. Xperia X2 may be more business focused than the existing X1 though.

I'll wait for p5i and Xperia X2. If not better than I'll switch to the Symbian 9.3 model instead.
