Have Secrets to Hide? then get the Cryptophone

14 February 2007 by axxxr
You have secrets you need to talk about on mobile phones? You better use a CryptoPhone to keep the secrets secure.

The Cryptophone has special software that encrypts calls with 4096 bit Diffie-Hellman key exchange and SHA256 hash function AES 256 and Twofish between Cryptophones." What all that means is your calls will be encrypted with some of the strongest algorithms available today.

Other than all that cryptic secrecy, the Cryptophone G10i is a pretty normal flip phone with quad-band GSM/GPRS radios, 1.3 megapixel camera, as well as EDGE for slightly speedier data exchanges. This security is far from cheap though, as the G10i is priced at about $2080. source:mobilemag  www.gsmk.de

Excellent if you're a criminal overlord or terrorist, otherwise whats the point?
Everything gets hacked eventually.
Pointless

If the authorities "scan them clean", won't that negate the whole reason for buying this particualr phone???

BTW, if anyone wants to listen in on any of my calls, they are quite welcome, although I suspect most will have better things to do, or if not, then there are more interesting calls to listen to than mine.

@Kulorex oh oh... terrorists everywhere.... didn't realise we had paranoid nut balls using this site! So what! I worry far more about people like you that think the "authorities" should track its citizens for buying a phone! and i dare not even ask what "scan them clean" means?! no more impure thoughts?

you definitely need a pair for the function to work, is it sold as a pair? or is it 2080 per phone?

Yea i think it only works with the same phone.
Terrorists will surly buy these. I think in the initial step, authorities should track any individual who buys one, and scan them clean

Getting one is nice, but you need someone else who has the same phone in order to communicate, right?
