I do remember reading that until recently only a small % of average consumers knew what BT was. So I think it has yet to peak in popularity.

@C whats with the "lah"

It seems to me that wusb is the way to go. .

@goldenface

If one day you visit Malaysia, you will know...

Quite hard for me to explain, its just something Malaysian like to say when they finish their sentence... nothing special.

On BT, here in Malaysia...it just become quite popular now.
I have to say a lot of Malaysian follow the trend from HK, Taiwan and Singapore.....BT is quite popular in those location especially with all the cheap BT headset offered by company like iTOUCH in HK or those from Motorola (cheapest is only RM299.....1Euro = RM5)

I still miss the time when I use HBH60 walking around town with all eyes stare at you wondering what are you doing with that Trekkie Gadget

That time even mobile shop sales person was amazed with it.

Hi all,
Having suddenly stumbled across this thread it was very interesting to see the things people where hoping for and what we actual now have.
PSP, location free box still no wireless USB though. Also the fact that a lot of SE phones although they use Memory sticks tend to ship with Sandisk sticks. My biggest gripe is that SE phones don't support ATRAC in any of its variants.

the old sch infra red is really a useless feature.. even in the newer model like V800/S700 still do have infra red.... personally i think its true.. kinda useless in a way...

wow, i'm quite touched by the way the S700 is called a 'newer version'; i actually feel like my phone is quite antique now...

anyway, IR is not really a useless feature; it's implemented in newer phones to be backward-compatible to older phones. and if i'm not mistaken, IR is the connection being used by a remote control over a TV/home sound system so it just won't pass away anytime soon. i could say the same with BT; even though there's a new technology looming at the horizon, it will still take years to make BT obsolete because most devices still use BT as their means of communication...

Yep. My cordless Phillips headphones do use Ir. I think Ir is likely to disappear but not just yet, bluetooth is definitely taking over. I just saw a Pioneer bluetooth cd player so we're getting there where bluetooth is going to be all over if it's not already all over.
