My 5iv is a glitchy mess now. I'm jumping ship in a couple of months, after the Oneplus and other Chinese company announcements. So far, it looks like I'm going for the Galaxy S25 with 512gb storage. Great for around £750 and years of support on very capable hardware. Small phone and a no brainier against the Pixel which will struggle with more demanding apps. It's a shame, but necessary. The fact that Samsung gives fresh and meaningful software updates is great, it's like have a new phone. Sony really messed me about especially since I've been a Sony user for more than 20 years. No compact flagship is the deal breaker for me. |

I think the button will be something to do with AI, which seems to be the big selling point atm. I do like the fact that they're trying a new design. It looks fresh.

An unannounced Xperia model ID has been discovered. While it's unclear if it's the Xperia 1 VIII, it's reassuring to know Sony will definitely release at least one more model.
