lookin forward to this device.. in one of the pics there are diff colors on the keyboard.. is it because the Num pad are arannged differently? not just all aligned at the top?

I think I prefer the k-jam keyboard with the spaced keys rather than keys right next to each other
however, if for nothing else, I'll be swapping my k-jam for the i-mate version of the hermes just for the 3g.
Losing 3g was the one big downer for me when I chose not to keep the JasJar

the processor speed provided on hermes is great...
and 3G network is not yet launched in India... I think it will take ages to launch it...
btw if its launched I will get myself a cheap 3G phone like the K600i and won't swap my K-JAM for just 3G feature.

you almost certainly won't notice much difference with the processor speed. The TI 200mhz OMAP performs almost as well as the Intel 416mhz
I do around 50mb data on my k-jam each month so 3g is definitly a must for me!

I haven't seen any data counter but you can use SPB GPRS monitor or do as I do and check your bill each month

I don't need to worry about the bill.
I pay 300 INR(per month) i.e 6.67 US$ and get unlimited usage. but the surfing speed is too slooooooooow...

yes it will be a deffenate replacement for my k-jam too just coz of the 3g, but then again depending how much it will be from t-mobile i wont rush into it unless they sell it for £150-£200 as im already a t-mobile customer. i think the hermes will 1st be available on t-mobile in the uk that is as it was in the german t-mobile press release but that just shows its just around the corner for the uk. |

Until i-mate started selling windows mobile phones I only ever bought iPAQs, and even then never bought pocketpc's with built in phone as I didn't think the phones versions were mature enough
now, I only consider i-mate products although I do still keep one eye on HP just in case something takes my fancy
I'm sure, as with normal phones, I'll not buy any branded windows mobile devices and if that means waiting longer then so be it

Hi!
I am interested in the HTC Hermes very much and am also thinking about the Fujitsu Loox T830

Where would people here recommend to buy a SIM free unlocked Hermes?
Expansys? or take a trip to Tottenham Court Road?
Any advice welcomed!

I've got my last 2 i-mates from Expansys but thats mostly because they have an agreement to get them in first as they buy so many.
Tottenham Court Road is rubbish these days in my opinion. I used to get most of my stuff up there but these days you can better prices online. Also it seems that most of TCR is owned by 4 or 5 chains
