Just thought I'd share a few mobiles my fiancé was able to ask her friends back home in Japan to send.
My favourite of course it the Sony Ericsson, which is TINY.
1.3 megepixel camera with it as well.
Thought I'd post them since I knew you guys would appreciate it.

i just wanted one.
If the pics are too big for people, save it to the desktop and open it in a picture viewer to see it clearer.
I tried to take medium pics (at least by my cams settings) but I guess people can see high details of the photo's now.

It's not a problem.
I chose to upload them to my server so they would remain that big so people could get high quality images.

Oh ic appologies....The pics are def high quality...nice phone aswell!..Its such a pity we can't have handsets like these in europe.I just adore the whole japanese look/design/form factor..Unbeatable!

I still don't get why we can't have european versions of the japanese designs?...From a business point of view its just plain silly..

resized the images for all the many complainers.
(i dont mean to be mean but why the hell can't people either resize it themselves or save it to their desktops? It resizes automatically on a viewer *sighs* I hate spoonfeeding especially when I'm trying to be nice)

Not just the fact that they're big and distort the window, it's also slightly inconsiderate for people that don't have a broadband connection.
Anyway, nice phone - don't really like the colour though.
I think Japanese designs only seem to be popular with 'techies' in europe, which is a relatively small market.

What u could do to stop anyone 'complaining' is upload small thumbnails & give links to the high res images on your server. Then people can choose to view them if they want to

On a P9 yes but took a while to load nearly 2000kb!
If they were on the Esato server though, the login problem with HTML Light would mean u only see the "please login to view this image" box. As these are on another server they don't need u to be logged in to Esato

I'm glad people like the pics, sorry for those who dont have a good connection. But common guys, i'm trying to do something nice and people are on me because I thought people would appreciate the nice quality photo's.
I resized them (yet it wasn't enough...) so all i can say is, enjoy the photo's and if you can't too bad.
I'm not being mean, I'm replying out of stress.

Does anyone know what that funny jog dial thingy is underneath, near the hinge?
I must say I like the colour and the metalic finish but I don't think these phones will catch on over here. 99.99% of handsets sold in Japan are clamshells - it is unusual to find anything else.
The Premini range are certainly the odd ones out.

That would be a rotating camera at a guess, not a jogdial.

the thing underneath the hinge is a jogdial. It's a SE trademark sort of in Japan.
Scrolls up down, clicks in and the two arrows to either side let you move right or left. It's VERY usefull.
The camera is on the outside of the phone and integrated into the top area as the pics shows.
If you notice, there is no charger hole on the phone.
At the bottom on either side is a small tiny slit with gold metallic peices showing. it's so you can dock the phone and charge.

Ah, I didn't look at all the pics. Just noticed that thing & it reminded me of the V/Z800 camera. I'll look closer next time, if only the pics weren't so big I'd have let them finish loading!

In Japan, phones HAVE to have a set volume and noise for when the camera of a phone is being used.
So you can't switch it off. (although come to think of it, if you could select the noise you could set a blank wav or something)
That's for all the perverts who like to walk innocentley and take pics of girls underwear and walk by casually.
