@ynothd welcome here. Doesnt matter what fone u use, the principal is what counts. And i wish that we avoid to go off topic with such very welcome, but not realizable suggestions. So lets get back to biz and next time i would prefer pm, email or sms for such ideas. What /// u have?
Posted by ynohtna

Hi,
just recognized a little difference in my GH197 handsets:
1. R2A 93w40 Ericsson Hotline GH197
2. R2B 94w02 Ericsson Hotline GH197
3. R2D 94w16 Ericsson GH197
4. R2D 95w37 Ericsson GH197
What about hardware revision R2C? It's quite a short time between R2B and R2D - only 3 month!
And when and why did they change the name from Ericsson Hotline GH197 to Ericsson GH197?
_______________________________________________
And another question:
Who has, has seen or has informations about the A1028sc?

Never seen before, but seems to be made only for asia.

Can somebody tell me what are \\\\\\ DECT phones? I've seen one of them. What is the latest model?
Posted by Tigerente
/// has made several DECT handsets.
For home use, there has been DT120/140 and DT230/260 and DT230i.
DT140 and 260 are with build in answering machine, 230i is for ISDN-landline.
But there are also some more DECT handsets for office use. You'll find manuals and brochures on /// homepage.
For Example
DT400 - shock and waterproof with 'Deadman' function. If you've activated this and haven't moved for a while, an alarm will be started. (BUT VERY VERY expensive handsets)
DT570 handset is made for use with MD110 office solution but is 'normal' DECT/GAP handset and can be linked to home use stations. Very nice and handsome item. AND it's based on 6V series. All acc which can be used with 6xx,7xx,8xx,A1018s can also be used with DT570. Linked to a buisiness station you can receive voice, pager and text messages, you have a phonebook of 1000 entries (based on the phonebook of station). Normal phonebook in home use is 100 entries.
And there are some special DECT handsets by ///:
The DECT/GSM dual band handsets TH337 and TH688.
Posted by BobaFett
There was a radio controlled feature for thd 6xx series to open garage doors etc as i remember it was a kind of remote control.
Posted by Tigerente
@boba: Give me more input!!!!!!!! remote control by 6xx?!
Posted by BobaFett
It was told me years ago in a service, donnow more details, sorry. Guess its a kind of modified program and probably /// cooperated with some other co.

Thx Tiger, you are real \\\\\\ knowledge base! And some other question: was \\\\\\ producing intercoms and office ATS, pls post some info here, because i have no inet now. I think if everything will be ok, i'll buy some interesting \\\\\\s. Pix will post later.
Posted by BobaFett
@kothor visit ///.com and u can check there many many aereas where the brand was, is busy.

@kothor:
For mobile buisiness the most interesting items should be the cellular terminals by Ericsson.
F151s, F250, F251 etc.
Voice, Data and Fax compatible solutions, ready to go. Just put in a SIM and on the side plug a landline telephon or a whole telephone-system and you office can go to the beach and everybody can do his job like before.
Quite funny thing.
You can also ue these terminals with a battery and (for example) can carry your landline phone and the little terminal-box up to 13h with you ... sitting in a café or restaurant having your own landline phone.

And not to forget the presence in military equipments.

Some more questions: 1) the reseller told me that his "original" T68m(Sweden, SE box,\\\\\\ sticker, 01w50, looks like brandnew one) has plastic aluminum face, but i saw T68 with metal face. Metal or plastic face is original? 2) How do u think \\\\\\ would call wakaba? Txx or maybe Zxx? 3) What would u better see in mobile stores ;) : \\\\\\quartz, rx1, alien? Maby some other protos.
Posted by BobaFett
@kothor there are only the grey and the gold ones as original covers. The swedish ones had a slim metal sheet on yes and no keys.

@Boba u misunderstood my msg(that's cos my english's very bad). I meant face where ERICSSON label and the speaker is situated, is that of metal or plastic? Pls, can somebody post here info where \\\\\\ Ukraine is situated? I can't connect 2 \\\\\\ site.
Posted by Tigerente
@kothor:
T68m cover and backcover always is made out of plastic. Just painted like metal.
The only T68 with magnesium-backcover is the T68 proto with sharkfin-antenna. But the released T68m and i were just made simple with plastic.

Kothor, The faceplate of T68m has quite good metal style looking, although not really a metal faceplate. The box should be Ericsson brand one if the handset was made in Sweden in year 01.
Posted by BobaFett
Wish t68 were released in total black aswell or maybe copper style.

@tiger nice job, but pls delete the se ones. Btw why do they used woman names?
Posted by kothor
That was refurbished T68m with non-original face.@Tiger thanx.I don't know why, but my three stripes are multiplied by 2, that's some kind of mystics :) .@Boba And what about Hedwig?
Posted by BobaFett
@kothor what do u mean? Hedvig is a proto with a very interesting design.
Posted by kothor
Hedwig is an ericsson proto, that's designed in Sweden and has a male name. So not all ericsson mobiles have woman names.
Posted by BobaFett
@kothor and where was it designed then? Btw its a female name too.
Posted by kothor
Hedwig is a female name? I'm sorry then. Can you translate wakaba?
Posted by Tigerente
Quote: |
|
Wakaba is the Japanese word for 'new leaves' or 'fresh growth' It is also the name of the yellow and green mark put on the cars of Japanese who have just passed their driving tests. Wakaba-Ma-ku.@
Futaba has a similar meaning ' to bud, or to sprout.
So both words connect to 'new'!
Posted by BobaFett
Why did the master choose japanese names? Weird.
Posted by Tigerente
Maybe at this time, they already knew that Sony will come and get them.

Posted by jcwhite_uk
It might have been because the Japanese mobile systems were very close to the UMTS that 3G uses so they developed them over there.
Posted by ericsson_man
@Tigerente
so mine is the same as yours then only displays Serching and the only thing you can do is type a number in and thats it?
Posted by BobaFett
Does hedvig got oled or normal led display and how is the keypad?
Posted by kothor
What kind of batt is there in Hedwig? Can you take it off or is that solid with a phone(like in T65)?
Posted by Tigerente
Quote: |
|
Okay, I made a little operation with my non-working HEDVIG!

Battery of HEDVIG is not made for changing very often, because the cover is closed by four screws.
But you can open HEDVIG and you'll find a BST-14 battery.
3,6V 600mAh
Display and keypad got oled, like T28,T29 but colour is a bit more blue.

Posted by kothor
And what about games in Hedwig? What is showing program info?
Posted by BobaFett
So its a kind of bus11. That batt solution seems optimal for that fone.
Posted by numero6
In my opinion, the idea of localizing the screen below the keypad was very clever. Because of the hand's anatomy, there's always an empty space below the keypad : the thumb stands higher than the other fingers when you grab a phone.
Take your T28 or T39 and do the test : turn it upside down and you'll see it's more comfortable to use the keypad that way...
Bravo Ericsson !
Posted by kothor
I cannot say it's very comfortable to use my T39 that way, because flip opening using one hand becomes a complicated task. Why did they used screws to hold the batt?
Posted by Tigerente
Quote: |
|
Because nothing other would fix the rontcover to the backcover. Both are completely made of Mg. You can compare a bit with R320 Titan - At this handsets it's also of need to use screws to fix the parts.
Games .... NO games: It's not a kids-phone!

Posted by kothor
Solitaire and tetris aren't children games ;) . Isn't the producing process of Mg corpse very costly and complicated? Btw how and where did you get your Hedwig proto?
Posted by Tigerente
Quote: |
|
Indeed. MAybe that's also one thing, why they stoped the development. But, Mg backcover was also used for T28,T29,T39,R520 ...

The working one at ebay.co.uk and my second one (just with test-SW loaded) from a friend (but this one also came from UK).
Posted by kothor
Lucky!!! How many Hedwigs were produced? It's a mobile i need to have. Maybe someone's selling that mobile? @Tiger what was the price of both?
