Yes, it is a bit big. There is a regular smartphone on the table as you can see.
It has some other value to me also. I wrote the software for the two cards
down to the left. The speech coding and decoding software. In the proposal
it was a subband codec. In the GSM spec it was the RELP. The first GSM full rate.

Here is two of my latest "regular" collectables.
GF388 Volvo 850 racing limited edition
and a multiband Futaba. It looks like the regular Futabas but
they did this version with a chip set that could do EU and US UMTS bands.

I find this model one of the most rubbish for battery connectivity and phone operation/signal as well.
I always want to buy myself the disco originale cover as I like it the most (titanium green as well), but I don't know if its worth it, as I actually use the phones time to time and I don't know in which minute they will crash

My collection of the models that eventually ended in the (back then) available T39m.
- Yellow T29m.
- Blue T36m (silver keypad)
- Yellow T36m
- Blue T36m (black keypad)
And in de desktop charger the three available T39m models.
The model I'm missing is the blue T29m

Anyone know how to get unlock codes for ericsson phones?
I have a t39 that's locked but I don't know to what operator. I contacted sony about the unlock code and say the imei is invalid as it doesn't start with the 35.

I've got an interesting prototype of A2618. The front panel is made of black matte plastic. It feels even like it's not painted. Battery cover is translucent. There's no firmware in the phone, as when you turn it on, the only thing to see on the screen is the some fw info. There's no label under the battery and i can't check the imei.
@Torshammer @Ginz - how do you guys think, is it really a prototype?

I did not say that. Maybe it is just the test software name, which indicates a prototype.

Anyone know of a way to get a Three SIM card to work in an old Ericsson phone T39?
When I insert the sim card and start the phone the screen says "Insert SIM" I dont get any other option, the phone is fine as when I use another SIM card that uses Three as a MVNO the phone recognises the sim fine. and when I use the Three SIM card in another phone the SIM is fine.

Sorry, Three sims usually won't work in phones not designed for those.

Never seen that color before, BUT there's one with same color (or perhaps the same phone??) on the bay right now.
That one has the wrong keypad, so it is looks like a non-original case.
The blue loge is off also.
