@Stolleman
Those are some old Ericssons. Do any turn on?

Posted by Stolleman
With a working battery i think everyone will start except one or two GH198, I'll try those one day.

Hotlines in the picture is EH97 and NH97, not a big difference

Posted by bucheral
Welcome back Stolleman!

What do I see? A Swiss Victorinox knife, made in Switzerland? Partnership with Ericsson? Wow! Congrats for all your classic oldies

Posted by Stolleman
Thank you bucheral

When she gave it to me you were the first i'd think of, Switzerland and Ericsson is bucheral

Posted by bucheral
Thank you very much Stolleman!

Here is the video of my T36m:

Hi

Well, I allready knew that the R290 mentioned above is a prototype, that's why I bought it
The firmware is far from ready: if you select another language then english everything is displayed as code.
Also it doesn't seem to charge a bettery, otherwise fully functional.

I recentlly bought anoter one from wich I thought it was a regular one.
It turned out the be not!

This one has allready complete firmware, the only bug seems to be it doesn't show a fully charged battery if charged by the phone itself.

As I don't need two R290 proto's; does anyone here fancy one?

Beautiful video bucheral

Todays pic is on a Ericsson R310s opening tool, very usefull and way better and gentle then a coin or a screwdriver

Posted by Stolleman
This thread is almost dead

Here is a clip I made when I was playing with Michelle(R300s prototype).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vux1bJs8U6M

Bugs and menus not finished.

Some protos you can't start, this is hard to turn of

Hello Stolleman,

your video is fantastic! *****

Don't worry, you have at least one Ericsson friend living in Switzerland who likes the Ericsson messages and videos from Sweden

Posted by Stolleman
Tack så mycket bucheral

That was my first official Ericsson video, I promise more videos, messages and pics from Sweden!

Here is the result of the joint Ericsson and Orbitel, GO118 and GS18 and both in very good condition

Posted by Stolleman
I found a really strange thing, I have to boxed A1228c but there is a big difference

Why does the one at the left look like that? I wonder if it is a mistake Ericsson made..

Posted by bucheral
Hi Stolleman,

this is a strange thing, no idea why there is this difference....strange thing too, no Ericsson logo on the left, seems to be a proto....

@all: I have received another ER209i from Japan today, unfortunately it is not working, details on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.ch/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230745126702

maybe someone is interested?

@Stolleman: please go on uploading videos from your collection, I just liked your first video, and even the baby crying in the background....

Posted by Stolleman
It doesn't say prototype, I don't know what to think.

The start up screen says this:

Haha, my daughter was crying because she doesn't want to sleep even if she is tired, next clip i'll do when she is sleeping

Posted by bucheral
@Stolleman,

my black T65 is like this too, it does not say prototype but it cannot be started properly, it just displays a startup screen. Rosewhite told me, that some protos have a software that is not finished, so.... I think you got another rarity!

Posted by Stolleman
I found two working batteries so i could take pictures of both at the same time.
Maybe it is a rarity

Looks like this:

About the black T65, I have one too that looks kind of funny/odd, I'll maybe post a couple of pics if anyone want

Posted by bucheral
@Stolleman,

yes please post pics of the black T65 About your A1228c, strange thing, why is there no Ericsson logo on the left?

There is one thing about the T28s I don't understand, I always thought The T28s was available in four different colours:

1.Urban grey 2. Mountain Heather 3. Slate Blue 4. Marble Beige

Now I have got another T28s, more blue on the left, is that Metropolitan blue used on the T28World? How comes?

Posted by Stolleman
Really nice family picture of the T28
Does your Mountain Heather have an R520m antenna?

Your T28s Metropolitan blue looks good

This one has a P1A/B PCB if I remember it right and a test firmware, I'll upload a clip later or tomorrow.

Posted by bucheral
Thank you Stolleman for the comment and the pics!

Here is my Ericsson AH320

http://youtu.be/qWHlCgeIwpQ

Enjoy

Posted by Stolleman
I love the quality on your videos bucheral, my old Canon is not so good filming(R300s clip) and my Canon dslr doesn't have autofocus

Those flips on Ericsson AMPS does look odd here is my AH620 fully boxed and never used.

Posted by bucheral
Hi Stolleman,

nice AH620 you have there, but personally I prefer the AH320 because of the keypad
About the filming: you won't believe, the recordings are made with a mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy SII.

Hi all
Just found this thread. I have collected Ericsson for a while and recently I started
to improve my collection. Really like the posts here.

I will come back later with some questions and pictures.

Sure I recognize you from twitter! That's why I use my twitter alias here as well to notify old and new friends.

New collectables are on the way...I have spent all my budget now

@torshammer

Welcome here Torshammer! I think you know me, the collector from Switzerland, don't you?

Yes we always like to see pics of new member's collections!

I'm also waiting for some pictures from you

How you'd got it?

Posted by torshammer
@bucheral Thanks! Yes, we have done business together.

@stolleman My first was a NH99. I also used a NMT900 combi but that was a project phone.
The fun thing with that one was that I was accused for stealing it when I walked passed Sergels Torg
In Stockholm. À place known for exchanging Goods of all kind.

What I like the most? Hmm,... Many has passed by. Maybe I liked the T68 and the R520 best.

Posted by torshammer
@all
Here is my favourites of my collection! Curt; the Hotline NMT900 Pocket...for big pockets
And Pamela; the way too early smartphone...for big pockets as well.

[ This Message was edited by: laffen on 2012-02-14 09:47 ]

Posted by bucheral
@torshammer

Cool! I have never seen Pamela so far. As for the Hotline Pocket, great item, I think I have the same:

Ericsson Curt, is that the official codename for this Hotline Pocket?

Posted by Stolleman
@tranced
Auction my friend, these phones were only released in Sweden

@torshammer
Thank you for the pics, Pamela looks really, uhm.. sexy does she work? what does the label on the back says? If I remember it right she is an Ericsson RX1(?)
How long have you been collecting? do you have more prototypes, concept phones or limited edition?
Many questions I know but I'm curious

Posted by bucheral
@torshammer

yes Stolleman is right, we would like to know more about your phones

Right now I have this for the forum, hope the infos are all right

Posted by Stolleman
This is a bit confusing, Ericsson and Sony Ericsson codenames were only girl names and the accessories boy names(?) but Curt is a boy name, why is that? Have I missed something?

Posted by tranced
True. This doesn't give a specific reason to this, but give a read to this article

HOTLINE

Posted by torshammer
@tranced @bucheral et.al
I am sure about the code name "Curt". I checked it with the R&D manager of that time.
Next in line is Emma. I will find out about the whole range if not someone else already know.

We take the collection piece by piece...oK? I dont have pictures taken yet, but will do.
Then I can tell you more.

I am not in front of the Pamela now so I cant check version number. Can not remember.
It works fine. UIQ symbian. Starts up, displays the menues, take commands with the stylus.
No touch... He he. And I have only one... Not for sale

@bucheral The info looks right to me. Nice!

I have been collecting for some years. Not very intensive.
Now when Ericsson is selling the device part all together it triggered me.
It is such a fantastic near-tearm Industry history. You can still talk to the people involved.

@bucheral What are the pieces on the side of the hotline pocket?
Looks like batteries?

This is My last treasure. T20e with that reddish color. What is the name of the color? Anyone?

Posted by Stolleman
@torshammer
That color is named Purple Wild, the other four colors of T20 is Blue Whirl, Lime Twist, Silver Weave and Beige Harmony.

@all
I managed to make this list with codenames bu I don't know at all which name that is correct so please edit it if you find something that is wrong.

@torshammer:

yes i think Stolleman is right, this is purple wild! Is it even a Tomb Raider edition?

and yes, what you see on the pic are batteries and charger for "Curt"

@Stolleman: thank you for the list of the codenames, strange thing the R380e was always a "R380e" for me, but now I will call it Roxette

Posted by bucheral
About "Curt": these two phones are not the same, which one is "Curt"?

Posted by torshammer
@bucheral Maybe the first one is ETAC and the other one is NMT.
Since I got mine in Sweden I believe that one is NMT. The same with yours.
I will check with the person involved designing it.

How do I know it is a Tomb Raider edition?

@stolleman Nice list! I will check that one with an insider.

What should I bid for a NMT c ombi? Anyone bought one lately.

Another picture I had at hand from my collection. Not so good.
It is the wonderful Pocket and the NH238 NMT450 which I believe
wasnt sold much. Below is an interesting piece that I will come back to another day.

@bucheral Look at the antenna of "Curt". Much longer then in your picture I believe.

Posted by Ginz
If there's a Tomb Raider screen during boot, it's a Tomb Raider edition.

Posted by Stolleman
@bucheral
As I said I'm not sure but I wanted to share what I've found and collected from 670 pages in this thread
Would be really fun to have the names for every Ericsson.

@torshammer
Please ad more names if your insider know more!
In your latest pic, do I spot Penelope?
NMT Combi, depends on the condition and how much you are willing to pay for it

@all
Can it be that just the form factor of the phone is called Curt and the same for the other phones too?

Posted by Stolleman
I noticed now that my T20e is a Tomb Raider edition, very nice suprise

Posted by torshammer
@stolleman yes... to the left is a Penelope. A very very too early smartphone experiment. You probably know
all about it, but I worked with the guy involved in the software development for it.

Should we try a collaborative effort to make a complete list of all models names, code names, bands, form factors, prototypes, limited edition, technologies etc etc? I have started to read the thread. There is great information
hidden here. A lot of knowledge... maybe lost but possible to recover.

@ginz looking forward to get home and start-up the screen. have not done it yet.

Posted by Ginz
@Tor: Good idea for a collaboration

Have you ever heard about a R580m? According to some official Ericson press releases, it should be an R380 without external antenna and with a colorscreen.

And what about this one: The Bertha: http://tweakers.net/ext/f/aaf[....]da6c69b2d48a7e0b5e708/full.jpg

@torshammer
As you can see on page 660 I have a GS88 too, working but not bug free. I have to ask, do you might have a pen to spare?
Sound good trying to collect information and make a complete list of models

@all
Some models had early model names such as s988, s838, s1088 and R300s, do anyone have more to add?

Posted by Ginz
I do have a R360m and a T29m

Posted by torshammer
@stolleman Will check.

@ginz This is news for me. Have heard of Bertha but never seen it.

Where did all Active threaders from the biginning go? Boba Fett seemed to know a lot.

BobaFett's gone missing. He suddenly stopped visiting the forum. Yet he still visit the forum.

I wish he comes back and say hi at least.

Thank you very much, it would be great if you found one
It's only a few left of the old members, this thread needs new blood to keep it alive or else it will die.

I hope you are here to stay!

@all
When thinking about it, it going to be a big project collecting all the information for all Ericsson but not impossible.

@all What if we start with the list by bucheral and put it in a spreadsheet on-line. Insert the
List from Stolleman and work on the content. What on-line tool do you like? Google docs?
We need version handling. I could start but we need to agree on tool and format.

@bucheral you are the postman's friend. Keep him/her in work.
