Have you ever watched that advertisement video on their site, with the English dude who helps design the iPhones.
If i ever met him in person, i'd probably hit him with a fire extinguisher or something, the nearest heavy object or something. Ive never heard such self masturbating nonesense as what comes from Apple. Cheesy, sickly, stomach wrenching massaging of their own sex organs.
I feel physically sick when i see that video. So, when they claim only the iPhone has a retina display, they're right they do, but thats only the name of it. They actually claim such utter nonesense that they make me feel quite violently ill.
Now that cannot be good.
And then, after the nausea, comes the utter disgust as the ridiculous claims and F*****G LIES bury themselves deep into my intelligent mind.

Got to love Apple's website though, the attention to detail, the screenshots of the devices, the quality of the images, the font, colors used etc... What really is not helping is that I'm browsing with my iPad so the device itself is complimenting it all, for a split second I think "Hmmm, but what if I get this amazing iPhone5?" Seriously, if you are a compulsive buyer, you should totally avoid that website, it will get you into serious trouble.
Apple are showing signs of desperation now. What they should do is swallow their pride and make that iPhone HD with 4.5-4.8inch high res display, and throw in NFC but add some zing to it and make it seems as if they invented it and they'll be sorted. If they were to be the ones who add a Xenon flash to a thin smartphone then I'd say its pretty much over for every other phone maker.

@etaab , I know exactly how you feel mate, especially with that annoying ad, the worst one being the panoramic feature and then say cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee etc etc etc etc etc se. Aimed for young buyers there. I have been there, felt that hatred and really got used to Apple and their useless and overhyped products, at the end of the day if they ever give people freedom of sharing then i would try them again but after owning a major defective iphone 4 and with it just out of warranty and Apple couldnt wait for me to put my hand my pocket. That was the darkside for me and since then gone back to my ever reliable Sony Ericsson (yes i know dinosaur) but jesus people who bitched about SE, I still have my Xperia Neo V, still going strong and never going kick the bucket (Ive had it now 20 months and for the price of it, it would of been the equivalent to fix that stupid iphone i once owned. I remember chatting to Miss UK on here about bashing Apple, after a while I got bored of it and now its just another tech company trying to milk billions.
Thought for the day I think is that these tech giants (not naming many but its a bit obvious with a certain 2) have brainwashed us all to need a smartphone. Especially the people who buy them just to play Angry Birds or Solitaire, they are mini computers with a power life of a london electric car. Just think 15 years ago, what was it then? What we were was a planet of people who could communicate and 'liking things', packing a sad because you broke up with someone on facebook or when the internet connection cuts out really shows how pathetic some of us its all about wanting and not about needing. People nowdays are so ill prepared for anything major and with that my philosophy is to remember how things were and how you would of done things without a so called smartphone (smart thats one thing they aint). Sorry just went off on a different direction there guys but just thought I would talk some interesting $h!t or am i actually showing my age??? i am only 33 but being in tech for so long feels like a lifetime!! actually i have just started a new post because of that last statement! here it is - http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=205472

I am loving the way Apple advertise things like they are the only one and the best. For example retina display

Then the fact that their iphones can do more than others.. Where is the nfc? Where is an app for battery per process analysis or simple task manager that shows consumed resources per process (cmd line tools excluded)?
So both hardware and software lacks in different areas.
Apple, you are the only one that you can make a shit look cool.

The black iPhone 5 is gorgeous imo. Apple's site is very good, well designed and brilliant with its use of images etc.
And then they go ruin it completely by sticking some video of a bloke telling us how much he loves to use his iPhone for sexual purposes.

QNX being at the core of BB10 I'd also state has a lot of other things onto it but by far these two are much more advanced than what Apple is brining.
"Support comes with real people" ... yes there are human beings but "real"?!!?? Their just about as real as those hipsters already way too "fashionable" (whatever time of the month it is) and way too ... well lets just say it seems Apple is hiring anyone that seems remotely agile in their "orientation". They're getting worse at being technical to resolve issues and instead through something in a box and out a new box into your hand. I want to go and have my smartphone or PC serviced as in troubleshooting, not be seen as a piece of black chocolate meat to be serviced at any store I don't want to be picked up in any way (hetero/homo/dual/greeno whatever). What happens when that magical box swap no longer has something new and shiny in those boxes to hand out? (that is happening VERY soon by changes at Apple is working towards by Sept this year).
The majority of Apple's sales and progress of their products, and always has, been in the design quality (don't confuse this for build quality). Watches don't ding going through a subway turn-style and holding an iPhone 5 never made me feel I was holding something "substantial" lol.
MissUK, Don't be holding out too much for the iOS 7 ... if Apple doesn't get with standards via hardware and open up that software soon, many will jump ship this year. I say 3 months of great sales, then the realization hits that its just a fancier looking iPhone 4S that is lighter slightly larger screen. NFC alone, if Apple waits another year they'll miss out on exclusive partnerships that can evolve to something greater! (An example is BlackBerry's partnership with 1 of the 4 largest banks in Canada, CIBC with Rogers Wireless the largest carrier by coverage or subscribers, using NFC for mobile wallet purchasing. The real deal is using BlackBerry's infrastructure for the secure transactions, yet many scoff at paying for the service, specific SIM card to allow for this, and the limited device support 1 BB device. Those that scoff have no idea their existing and recently updated Bank/Credit cards (Visa or MC) are using BlackBerry's backend infrastructure going forward ... this is the deal Apple is missing on).
But hey ... competition is getting cut-throat and this is where we'll see the real strengths and ability to adjust into other markets for each manufacturer.

Yes, I agree with Apple. I have iPhone 5 and I am fully satisfied with the apple iPhone features. I always choose Apple iPhone as compared to other Smartphone’s of Samsung, HTC, etc.

No longer true? Was it ever true?:D iOS is one of the most limited operating systems created. This so called most advanced mobile operating system doesn't even support simple file managing system. Not to mention bluetooth transfer, and memory card slot.

Busy watching Apple CEO, Tim Cook, CFO, Peter Oppenheimer and Co. being grilled by US Congress over their tax practices, on Bloomberg. I expect more Silicon Valley companies to go through this over the next year, including Microsoft and Google.
Those with iPads can find the Bloomberg TV+ app in AppStore and watch it live.

The iphone 5 camere takes good photos if you have proper light. Too bad there is no option for wide photos (with stock app).

Most of the software limitations can be "removed" via jailbreak. There are many ppl that have a jailbroken iDevice. The rest really doesn't care about the limitations. They like the iphone as it is.
I was anti-iphone before, used Android for couple of years.. and now I'm using iphone 5 (jailbroken) for a couple of months. Honestly? The iphone 5 is smoother and more pleasant to use than my galaxy s 2 with JellyBean (tried stock roms, custom rom, cyanogenmod, aokp, etc). From keyword lags to transition lags
. When I need to search an app with Google search widget I have to wait when on iphone 5 is almost instant. Ah, and most important, the battery is more efficient (better).
So, pro iOS:
- Smoother UI
- Better memory management on iOS. On Android the running apps are closed way more aggressively. So many frustrations when my browser (with many tabs) kept reloading on my S2 after opening 1-2 more apps
. On iphone 5 (both have 1GB RAM) this is so much better.
- Smart multitasking API, including audio with dynamic toggles (eg: you can use the system audio toggles with different music apps, including 3rd-party and in-browser media streaming)
- Many Cydia tweaks (for jailbroken devices) just hooks on the stock apps adding different features. Eg AirBlue adds buttons for sendind via Bluetooth to music, video, photos stock apps. Or tweaks that improves the AppSwitcher.
- Better power management
In other words, iOS is not that bad as many think. You can enjoy it more if you free it with a jailbreak.
