downloading texts from C510 to apple mac (intel)

Hello
Please can you help? I'd very much like to download my huge collection of text messages from my C510 phone onto my apple mac (intel mac running os 10.6.5). I have tried to this many times, but do not to seem to be able to.
Do you have any suggestions?
