Ooops, didn't see there was a 3G forum section, so I have already posted this on another section! Sorry! Anyway, hi all, hope someone can help me here, having a long term phone problem here! When i got my k800i to replace my k750i, it was an o2 phone so i just popped my current o2 sim into it and all was fine, including 3g, for which there was constantly an icon at the top of my screen. Anyway, one day i wanted to see if i could get rid of the icon, so i went into my settings and changed it to 'GSM data only' and obviously it turned off 3g and got rid of the icon, etc. But now i want to have 3g back, and everytime i select '3g and gsm', it spends a few seconds configuring, resetting the network, and sure enough, the 3g icon does come back, but then 1 of 2 things happens: it will either just disappear again after a few seconds, or a new icon will appear next to it, a phone with a line through it, and my status changes to 'Emerg. Calls only' - then, both icons will disappear, and the 'normal' o2 network returns. I am at a loss! It's nothing to do with my area, as the blue 3G icon was ALWAYS there wherever i went when i first got the phone. Any ideas people? Any special settings i need to use? Would be awesome if you could get this working for me! thanks

I had about the same problem. 3G network was rejecting access(emergency calls only) because i wasn't subcribed to my operators 3G service. Then i subscribed and everything worked fine.

I suggest that you call your operater and tell that you have problems accesing 3G network.

I have exactly the same problem with O2 3G on my pay and go account. Its beyond a joke. I have full 5 bar signal on both GSM and 3G but connection is a joke. ALL THE BLOODY TIME. I had so many problems now im thinking of leaving. My problems started then resolved after complaining now its all started up again NOTHING WORKING AGAIN.

People
I think many of us hasn't shared much info about that popular '3G'
What i found about it IS when a network operator announces their 3G availability,we all need to wait!we are no need to necessarily rushing in!
There IS always problem in the beginning of the kind of technology
Yup,if we waited long enough,we shouldn't endure much morale damage

Guess what, some of those operator didn't seem to do something to their very own 3G line they've once opened with casualties upon the customer side

Hope this would help
