What should I do? I have a SE K750i and when I connect it to my PC it shows me a pop-up message: "Charging, Alien Battery",every 10 seconds even though i didn't changed the battery.

I am a little worried... where is the problem ?

creepy...

There is no problem, the battery in your phone may be a non-genuine SE battery, maybe one of those off-the-shelves chinese ones.

If your battery is original, and despite this you get this message, then it may be defective.

Usually the phone charges slower in this mode (alien mode).

That message show many SE phones when non-genuine battery is inserted. I think it is a good feature to recgnize if your battery is genuine or not .

If it bothers you turn off USB charging in the service menu! I think you can do that on the K750?

@Paul_C - you cannot turn off USB charging on K750. Not at least using the service menu...

Anyway it's not a problem you should be worried of...

Ok, i am sure that the battery is genuine. I just bought the phone a month ago!
But i Forgot to mention that I am a software maniac, and I tried many softs on my phone.... even if it's one month old. Couldn't be that a problem ?

Maybe it IS ! With those add-on-softwares . . . I guess even your fone is NOT genuine anymore

@bogdan0, I think I've read about someone else on Esato who had this problem. According to what he mentioned, it could be that the contacts are dirty, so just clean the contacts on your phone as well as battery and see if that works.

that happen when you charge the battery with the charger?

Posted by bogdan0
It happens only when I connect my phone with my PC through USB .
I'll try to clean up my contacts a little.

I updated the firmware and did a master reset and now it's like a new one.
PS: Before all that I did a back-up with MPE.

Tahnks!

@sia - Are you sure YOU are using a GENUINE battery If YES, I guess we have a problem here matey

if he would use a genuine battery, then wont be the "alian battery" displayed

I got this for the first time ever after many years using the Sony Ericsson T230, and googling it brings this thread up first.

The battery is original.
I first noticed a problem when the battery icon showed a white battery with no green or any other colour 'charge' in it. I thought that was weird 'cause normally I get a warning if my battery is going to go low and in the red zone.

After trying to disconnect and reconnect the charger several times (and getting the same \"Charging, alien battery\" message each time), I turned the phone off and on again and the message disappeared and the proper charge remaining in the battery appeared (it was green).

So this definitely can happen with an original battery. Just thought I'd add my piece.
