With all that metal I wonder how good the reception is - considering the antenna is internal and creating a metal cage around it makes it useless as an antenna...do they have to connect an external antenna cable to make it work?
Kind of silly if it is a 'mobile' phone you want...

People with excess cash buy this shit all the time. They buy watches and jewellery which are probably worth 3 times the value of my house, there a loads of these people around who have too much money, they need to spend it on anything that is worth way more than its worth. If it exists, they buy the shit!

These phones are aimed to a market segment which doesn't look as much into functions as we do! The phones are all about style and status, nothing else. They might as well not be able to make any calls but people would buy them nonetheless. I think there is a market for such devices and Nokia is currently the only company doing that... So it is worth it, regardless of our personal opinions. If I had LOADS of money I would buy one! Even if just for status... For a rich person the price of such a phone is, in proportion, the price we as normal customers pay for a candy bar...

Based on dimensions and specs this just looks like a Sagem or ALcatel phone. What's new?

These designs do lack any creativity. Just a regular mainstream with diamonds and gold added.
Vertu phones dominate the luxury phone market. Goldvish has got no taste of style. failure.
