hey everyone, i've had my k750 on vodaphone for a couple of weeks now, I was really dissapointed to find that when i put MP3 music into my phone I couldn't set it as a ringtone. I figured this was due to some laws or something.. Only moments ago my mate showed me his k750 on O2, i was bitchin about it not playing my mp3 ringtones and then he said "well i dont have that problem" he then showed me and I watched as he set various different mp3s as ringtones!!! why cant i do that!
Also his battery bar is like solid - mines in little chunks? the button above the joystick on mine goes to vodaphonelive where as his goes to the shortcut menu?
how come we both have different types of k750s?! is mine worst? |

welcome to esato
vodafone enforce a lot of customisations on their handsets, including changes to the menu layout and appearance. the also lock out mp3s that you don't buy from their live! service. pity you didn't look on here first before going with them.
there's a lot of accumulated knowledge on here, so you might want to to get some more info.

It has a link to the DRM Packager along with a link to DaVinci (if you would like to remove the Vodaphone customisation from your phone) |

Yeah and if you haven't realized, Vodafone branding COMPLETELY changed the menu, battery bar, signal bar, activity menu thing... yeah, it's horrible. |

FWIW, I couldn't get MP3 ringtones to play on my unbranded phone at all until I upgraded to R1J. |

Have you movd or renamed the mp3 file since you set it as their ring tone?
I know when i first set pics for contacts and then arranged my pics into folders it didnt bring up their pic, I also renamed some mp3's for users and found this meant it wouldnt use the mp3. |
