As all of you V800 guys know, mp3 w/o DRM can't be used for alarms, ringtones etc. (that's a real shame)

I find out from one of Esato topics that this can be resolved using 'setool2' from www.setool.net.

My concern is, if get one of those,

1)how do go about unlocking DRM w/o debranding the phone? WOuld it require one credit for just DRM removal?

If yes this can be done,
2)which method of the tool should utilize?

3)Is the SETOOL2 debranding utility safe for use? My v800's firmware R1D.

Many thanks guys..

It would be alot easier if you got hold of SE's DRM toolkit and ran it against your mp3's before transferring them over to your phone.....

Only takes about two secs per track to update, only problem with this aproach is that you cannot send drm protected files to other phones...

1. It is not wise to post your email address in a public forum where it can be picked up by spammers and spiders and everybody else who wishes to haunt you

2. If you look up 2 or 3 posts to the one made by paolobrasil you will see a link. I suggest you click it......

How to use DRM packager after you downloaded it:

1. Unzip.
2. Install
3. Open DRM packager
4. in 'Options' click 'Configuration'. Set your 'DRM method' to 'forward-lock' (if you want to you can also specify an output folder where your DRM protected files will be saved)
5. Click OK
6. You are now ready to start protecting your files
7. Click 'Add'
8. browse for the MP3 you wish to add DRM to.
9. Click 'Create DRM content'
10. Go to output folder and find a .dm file there
11. Put this .dm file on your phone
12. Set it as ringtone or alarm tone
13. Enjoy!

eh?
Most, if not all, java games are altready copyrighted when you get them.... but regardless... the phone stores all games in a games folder that isn;t accessible from other devices and locks the games anyway. In other words, I've tried a wide range of games on my V800 and none of them have ever 'not worked' for reasons of DRM protection missing.

But I suppose you could just try it if you wanted to? The DRM packager really is just a 'wrap' around the original file so there should be no harm in it imho

Vlammetje you said that in the configuration of the program to choose 'DRM method' to 'forward-lock', i've done all those things, but in the mobile, it apears with the DRM key "cuted" with a red line, but i can't ear it, it can only be sent, i'm i doing something wrong??
