Hi. I have an question. Everybody knows webpages which offer downloading melodies to our mobile phones. But webpages of this kind ask for Money, if we want to downloading. Almost all these webpages offer possibility to listen to melody before downloading. But these melodies are in format mp3. When I save these melodies to the system of my Pc, Pc saves it in format mp3, of course. I would like to know if there exists some software that converts mp3 files to midi files. After converting to midi file I would be able to download melodie in midi file to my mobile, not? Where I can find a convector.? Where can I download it?Thank u guys.

...or just don't even bother trying

Mp3 doesn't convert to midi very well at all because whichever software you use, it has to 'listen' to the MP3 and try to distinguish all of the different instruments, the beats, the melodies, the vocals etc. and then try to re-write the entire song from scratch using midi instruments. The results are generally awfull to say the least.

It's rather like giving a guitar to someone who can't play guitar and then asking them to listen a song and immediately play it back to you!

Keep searching google for free midi tunes instead. They are out there, you just need to persevere and get your keywords right. Avoid the word 'ringtone' for a start

Right on the spot! This question has been asked many times before and as I recall, has never received a decent solution.

some good discussions here:
