That has been done before. Here are some of those who have voluntarily contributed.

Since I doesn't got a credit card, it's impossible for me to make a donation. But if I could donate money, I would surely give Esato a couple of dollars :-)

I already made a donation.
But according to laffen in a post made a few months back, everything is going OK now, although there was a time where laffen was having some difficulties to maintain the site... [addsig]

I would deffo put money up to help Esato.
Its been a big help to me over the past 14 months and would not like to see it disappear.

I was under the impression that we could donate, as I keep seeing the "Esato Donors" link on top of each forum page, just never thought of clicking on it...Anyhow, same problem as previous, no cc...I would gladly donate a few bucks

When you click on Esato donors a list pops up with donors. However, it does not tell you how to make a donation.

some have actived the function (if allowed by your bank) to donate montly a small amount of money to esato, so this nice site can go on for many years
every € $ £ or another currency helps
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

You can support esato by other ways too. (ie download ringtones - esato gets a percentage from ringtone purchases from the site, making an effort to positively contribute to discussions, encouraging self-policing of posts, helping others - especially newbies, NOT posting anything illegal or disallowed by ESATO rules, etc, etc.)

Helping doesn't always mean having to spend a buck for it.

OK.

For the newer members: check this thread.

There's an update (barely, the thread is 5 months old) on Esato's financial problems, that's why donations were made in the first place.

There was a link to Paypal, so people could make donations. But since the link disappeared, it confirms that Esato is alive and kicking. [addsig]
