Summary

you can sort all this out with the the fine guys at Mobile
Exchange
in Sunny and very hot Today ,West Ken. London , out the tube turn
left other side of road.

big props for a great service ,they will charge you £35 and in 20 mins this
whole issue is gone. and you have an up to date unlocked ,default Sony erricson
goodness T610

my Giger theme (21k)
(free to use, and distribute to all ,not to be sold without my express permission)
now looks sweet.

the physical branding stickers where easily removed with the aid of a shiny
new penny rubbed along the grain of the cover of the hand set top to bottom
gently. with no chemicals.

The Long and Sorry Path I walked

I recently Upgraded my old CMD-Z7 with Vodafone to A shiny New SE T610 and
a sweet sweet phone it is too. First of all I should say that vodaphone are
a fine Service provider in terms of coverage and quality of there core business
there a sweet. I however think that they have to far here, and the marketing
guys have run amok and fubared there advanced users experience,

I had some major issues with there branding like many other people as already
discussed in this very forum. To my horror I saw the great big menu , my utter
disbelif I saw the dire ugly windows 3.1 old old (and not even old-school) just
plain naff icons I could do better on my own in a week. To my chagrin there
where no less than 2 buttons that would go to vodaphone live and cost me money
for data transfer to load there deliberately heavy wap page, if I ever forgot
to lock keys the phone ( and yes I know about auto-lock I just find irritateing).

I got pissed off and just plain angry with the way they have anally raped
this handest ,ok I can customize it but you can essentually still make it look
like shit what ever i do, nice....

I wonder what the top level marketing people where thinking in there own little
impenetrable white-voicemail-towers ( oh yes I tryed an eventually got through,
and got precisely no where (vodaphone customer service bots *shudders* ).

Yeah this has been mentioned a few times, for example here and is mentioned in the unofficial faq. Also someone has a tutorial to do it yourself!

Glad you got yours sorted!
