MobileXchange has managed to flash my T610 and got rid of all my Live branding. I was down there on Friday to do an unlock and flash. I let him use my phone to test out the flash.

It worked! Now all the menu icons are back to factory standard, the live button on the standby screen is gone.

the only things unchanged are:
1. the first 2 menu icons still brings you to Live and Voda Favourites.
2. Voda fixed data accounts still there. ( i believe this is related to the 2 icons)
3. "more pictures, sounds, games" still leads you to Live!
it think thats about it.

but hey.... all that red live shit is gone, and that's what is important to me.
because even if the 1st 2 icons are fixed, they should bring you to SE which i dont visit anyway....

contact Nick at mobileXchange if you wanna get rid of your Voda and T-mobile brandings (for those unlucky ones out there... same goes for me!)

Just by chance, you don't have any idea how much this we're charged for this service, do you? I understand you were a volunteer, but maybe you spoke with them about it?

Cheers.

they should be charging around £30.... for the flash, and £20 for unlocking as you all should have heard.

I guess it's best to buy sim free in future you guys having to splash out on unlocking and flashing is pretty expensive.

You guys are kidding right?? You can get a Terminator Dongle for 10$+delivery and then you can unlock/flash/unbrand yourself...

At least don't pay anymore than 10£ if you have someone else do it...

@TheGlassJAw

Which shop in West Kensington? Was it the one right beside the tube? Did you need to get the phone unlocked as well?

Cheers,

What £30 ???

I do the unlock, unbranding (vodafone live, t-zone, orange), firmware upgrade & phone repair for a few years..and never charged a customer for so much money!!..

Anyway, we guarantee any phone we deal with are 100% safe or you can claim a new one here
