HELP! SE W880i needs flashing |

Hi,
My W880i won't turn on and I've read in a lot of places that its needs 'flashing' and this involves something to do with CID and xs++ and firmware. I am a complete loser when it comes to stuff like this and have no idea what any of it is or how it works.
Is there anyone that can help with this?
