to be honest i gave for it a try once, but i just couldnt get used to it. maybe bit off topic, but are there high res screen wm fones too with 16 m colours? my friend used lately samsumg i750, it had a nice screen ( as i recall it wasnt that "clear" like n80 )

until now, WM is limited to 65000 colours but I have read that WM6 will improve on that
I'm not sure how you cannot get used to it when its design principal is based around the same UI as windows on pc

thats true, but the design, icons looked so childish for me... u might think i am mad, but things like the rec icon, battery and so on disturbed me. maybe cos they look the same in every wm fones ( i do know, it has to ), but i always got the feling, i have in my hand a years old fone in another housing ( notice, i dont focus on features, when i talk about it )

as a default sure, WM phone screen payout looks the same, but they are highly customsiable with themes and there some amazing "redesigns" out there which totally give a personal touch and thats something you can't do with SE phones (or many others).
Just about everything displayed on screen can be changed/removed et

The Ubiquio 401 I'm trying to sell currently, has a 262k screen(WM2005 for PPC, not phone):

....it's alsmost as bright as a Samsung screen! Definately nicer than the average Nokia display....
Just a shame I don't get on with windows!

@Bob
Its not dat i didn find any WM forum on d net... i was jus tellin, there's no dedicated one on Esato...
U c there r threads that compares Symb n WM, there is a thread comparin P990i n TyTN, there's a thread discussin bout K-Jam...
But the prob is dat these threads doesn't last 4 long. Posters wud dump it after a few months of discussion because d device wud get outdated!
Wat we want is a thread where WM lovers cud gather, share thoughts, tips, news n help newbies etc... such a thread, i think wud b better than occasional news breaks, comparisons, discussions etc...
Atleast we cud form a well maintained n informativ archive from a dedicated thread...
wat do ya say?

How about editing the title of this thread!?
Seems like Bugsiiy and Bicket started the respective N-series and E-series threads off their own backs, it's the enthusiasm for the models that keeps the threads popular!
Wouldn't be a problem, would it, Masseur??

I have a T-Mobile Vario II that has been unlocked and unbranded to a TYTN and think it is great. The camera, even though it is 2MP, is pretty rubbish and call handling is not that quick but apart from that it is a great phone.

JC, does the TYTN still have HSDPA locked out as a feature??
Ali, I'd love to know more about your custom MPX200; how do you tell it to run WM5 instead of WM3??
Had a little play with the Ubiquio 401 when I got it, it's very good(and quite fast) for a non-3G phone! If I wasn't a Unix/Linux man, I'd probably keep it!
