Serious Bluetooth issues with K750/W800 |

I think I have a related problem.
My W800i also shows a white screen and restars after beeing connected for a while to my Mac TiPowerbook G4 with OSX 10.3.9. A bigger problem however is that I canīt seem to sync my phonebook, calendar etc with the mac program iSync 1.5, the "Connect with iSync" is greyed out in the bluetooth settings dialog
Iīm using an usb bluetooth device that probably is BT 1.1 or 1.2.
anyone else experienced and solved this problem? |

You need to upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and iSync 2.1 for W800 support.

Check out the "Apple Macintosh and Sony Ericsson issues" thread too. This is a Mac-specific thread!

./..So. are we any nearer to fixing this useless phone to make it work with "older" bluetooth products?

Err... because its a bluetooth 2 device ! - the problem is with older devices (if you've read this thread you would notice that)

I've been reading these fine forums for a while now, and have joined to add this little snippet of information - I have a Sony Ericsson HBH-610 bluetooth V2 headset, which I use with my new W800i, and it doesn't work too well either. It's way better than my old Bluetrek G2, which just didn't work at all, but the HBH-610 will drop it's connection regularly, mainly it seems while on a call. It stays connected for hours, but will drop as soon as I make a call. Looking forward to the forthcoming firmware that will make my new phone 100% perfect (for me anyway).

this is very disconcerting. i recently bought the bluetrek G2 only to be frustrated by the same problems that have been posted on this thread. I was hoping to get the HBH-610 since it was BT 2.0 and see if that solved the problems. does this mean that there is more to it than just an incompatibility between the k750i's v2.0 and v1.2 or v1.1 headsets?? |

@badWRKhabits
I can only assume that bluetooth is generally buggy on the current firmware - the HBH-610 does act differently than the G2 did on my old Nokia, connection is faster and automatic. On a positive note, when working the w800i and HBH-610 are superb - very nice sound quality. I've talked for an hour with no problem, but the next day it could barely hold a connection! Also, just for balance, my old 6230 would very regularly lock up when I voicedialled on the G2 - sometimes requiring the removal of the battery. Very annoying, and not good in the car! So these issues are not just Sony Ericsson...

the problem is the new bluetooth v2 and their high speed something-or-other that they use, and its not back compatible for some "odd" reason, hence bt1.1 and bt1.1 products dont work properly. |

i think i will wait and see...i'm sure that more products will come out with v2.0...especially since we're going into the holiday season. that and i also want to see more reviews of the HBH-610 before i run out and purchase one. luckily i was able to sell the G2 i bought to a friend. he tried it out on his motorola and it works wonderfully.
i also posted this question on howardforums and a reader replied that he thinks SE products just work well with other SE products. |

Have a K750i and a HCB-300... Has been intermittently losing sound about 8 seconds into calls... New firmware releases haven't helped, just seems to have good and bad days... Typical... Would love a WiFi car kit!

well well well, I bought a Nokia N70, and its Bluetooth 2.0, and it works fine with everything I have paired it to !!!
EVERYTHING !!!!!!!
So I will probably be saying goodbye to SonyEricsson (should that be foney-ericsson) cos their products just don't work !
- at least not with my bt kit !
the N70 is one mean piece of phone too.......

Here's an e-mail that I wrote to SonyEricsson about Bluetooth Compatibility problems:
Subject: Phones
Product: K750i
Opinion: My K750i is not connecting with my BMW car's Bluetooth System. It is not working with my friend's car bluetooth system either. In both cases, my phone pairs with the car, but then disconnects!
However, my T68i, T610, and Nokia 8910i work perfectly with my BMW Bluetooth. Please advise why the K750i is not compatible - P.S. from doing a search on the internet, it looks as if many people are affected with the same problem!
AND HERE'S SONYERICSSON'S TOTALLY LAME RESPONSE

@ Niro
Have you tried connecting it with the power save bluetooth option turned on?
